Game Discussion: Mega Man Anniversary Collection [PS2/Xbox]

This is obviously a very old-school type release, but one near and dear to my heart. I simply can't forget the hours and hours I spent on at least Mega Man 1-4 during my NES days. Now we have Mega Man 1-8 along with two newer arcade games in one collection...pretty cool!
From my understanding the GameCube game does not have the remixed music in it except in a sound test and menu screens (that's what I've heard) that can be unlocked while the PS2 version has them in the game.
So, anyone going to pick this up and play it?

I am going to pick it up for the PS2. I hope I don't shoot my television. Mega Man on the NES made baby stiffler cry.
Maybe I should just wait until the Mega Man Game Boy collection is released then I can throw my GBA through my television.
Great collection. I'll have to call my old gaming buddy over to get me through the tough spots.

I heard that the controls were also somehow messed with the GC version, in that the A and B button do the exact reverse, than they did in the original versions...?

According to the IGN reviews, the PS2 version has an episode of the Mega Man cartoon, while the Gamecube version has producer interviews instead.

The A and B button have been reversed on GameCube. A is for shooting, B is for jumping. The reason they did this is because Y is the rapid-fire button (now available in all Mega Man games) and they didn't want the jump button right below the rapid-fire button I guess.
I've heard the PS2 is much the same (but not confirmed). X is shoot, square is jump and Triangle is rapid-fire. I can confirm the GameCube one, but I still don't have the definitive on the PS2 version.
UPDATE: Someone that has it on another site says Square shoot, X jump and Triangle rapid-fire with circle being the dash from 3 on.

Just to give you all a heads up, this isn't the MegaMan that you remember, these are kinda updated versions of the games. Pretty much we're getting the true Rockman japanese versions, which are considerably tougher.
In the first Mega Man I've seen different enemies allready and a whole different feel to some stages. It's a lot tougher than I expected.
Only let downs for me are 1: No remixed music in game on the Cube, can get over it because I like the classic music, 2: You have to beat the first game to unlock the next one. Atleast that's the way it seems. God I know right now that I am going to have some serious issues with Wily's castle. Mega Man was a tough game when I was in my prime, and it's only tougher with the Rockman remixes...
