I hope this free faceplate bonus becomes the norm for the 360 cause there is no way in hell I am paying $19.99 for one of those. The Full Auto one does look pretty cool.

I agree with gator. I think this is a clever way to promote preorders for a game and spur a bit of interest in some games, and I would probably preorder a few more just for cool faceplates, but at 20$ a pop I cant see myself ever buying one.

Agreed....however - Mike and I have started thinking about getting a bunch of white ones and having GamingTrend graphics painted on professionally. They'd probably be 25 bucks a pop, but I think it'd be awesome.

In your eyes, how is full auto turning out anyway?
I've heard good and bad things about the game. Of course, the graphics are great, but what's the gameplay?
Is it racing with guns, or more twisted metal style arenas?

The fundamentals of the game are basic, but the graphics were pretty good and there was a ton of destructable stuff. More racing with guns than Twisted Metal.

I was stoked when I read about this yesterday, because I already have mine preordered, but don't expect to call Gamestop and get more info because nothing has been sent to the stores yet (at least as of yesterday).

What's weird is that I don't remember framerate issues when I played the game back at E3. Maybe one of the staff can correct me on this though.

I don't remember any frame rate issues at E3 either, and I thought this game looked even more fun than Burnout. I was planning on getting this game at launch, so I am going to head to Gamestop and pre-order.

I think the game would be pretty fun it ran smooth so hopefully it was just that demo version.

I wasn't impressed with the demo. Too hectic. The insane speed and crashing in Burnout is supported by a simple arcade racing engine between. The whole rewind thing, vs turbo vs every-fucking-thing blowing up all the time ever kinda sucked.

The thing that I really hated about the demo was the lack of any momentum-type of feeling.
I know it's an arcade racer, but the fact that I could drive through lightposts, roadside stands and head-on other vehicles without it even feeling like it was slowing my car down at all made it bland. It never feels like you're driving a car or crashing into anything... just zoom through everything in a line right down the street.

Why don't you just submit a recommendation to Cafe Press to start selling XBox 360 faceplates then you could offer a full line of GT gear without the sunk cost.

So I go into GameStop and they say they can't tell me if I'll get the faceplate if I pre-order Full Auto. Yet, if I go to GameStop.com or EBgames.com, I have to pay shipping. Maybe I'll try next week or give them a call.

Back before i started working at gamestop, I preordered City of Villains from gamestop.com because the local store didn't have the preoorder boxes or know anything about them. They did get them in after a while, though.

When I hear 'faceplate' all I can picture is girls accessorizing their cell phones. Not for me but whatever floats your boat.
