Well, I played it on the OXM disc and now again downloaded from Live, and I have yet to place above 7th. Usually it's 8th, but one time I killed my rival by accident.
Can anyone tell me what I'm missing. I'd like to like this game.
By the way, it seems to be the same demo as the one from OXM, with no improvements (framerate is still all over the place, and I'm still placing 8th [except once]).

I had really been looking forward to this game, but after playing the demo, I don't think I will be buying it. The framerate really suffered at times and I didn't like the feel of controlling the car. The best I have placed was 4th, so I am apparently missing something with regards to how to compete effectively, but that wasn't what took away from my enjoyment of the game. It just didn't seem to do it for me, which is too bad because it was my second most anticipated game behind Oblivion.

Im on the fence. While it was fun, it wasnt 70.00 FUN if you know what I mean. I may pass. It looks nice, somethign is missing.

i downloaded the demo and played it once last night...took out a few other cars during the race, got blown up twice, hit rewind a few times, and finished in first place. overall, i'm not impressed...can't really say why, but the driving just doesn't feel right after PGR3 and NFS:MW, and the weapons weren't very interesting. i'm not that interested in even loading up the free demo again, let alone buying the game...especially with a 360 version of Burnout in the future...

Short and sweet: Extremely unimpressed. Better racing games out there, the blowing shit up was not that fun, the framerate was meh, and the cars handled like toys.

Bland, very bland. Just short races for Full Auto? I was hoping for an open city environment, and at least cars that felt closer to cars. I'm out on this one, maybe a rent down the road unless the final game is much better.
