CVGit's(supposed to be) out Fall 2012,and there is a trailer in the link The beginning of the 58second video(that shows no game footage)is credited to Turn 10 and Playground games which was formed by 'veterans of various other racing studios including Codemasters.' so,full retail game or maybe XBLA game? MS have not come out with any info(whether this is real or fake),this trailer appeared on Youtube(and has not been taken down yet)

now officialas said, its being developed by Playground Games, that include veterans from Code Masters,Slightly Mad,Black Rock and Bizarre studios rumours were that this was a hybrid of Forza and and open world game like Test Drive... only details released though are that its an Autumn release and the spin off is "fast-paced, pick-up-and-play racing game"..which doesn't sound like an open world game to me

OMFG- did you see their team credentials? The one thing I loved about TDU2 was the open concept. Being able to explore, or hook up with other online drivers and race was fantastic - I hope Horizon is taking that same direction, and refining it. Since Colin McRae devs are there too, perhaps some ice racing and a solid DiRT experience are going to be in this. I'm going to try to hold back my excitement until we start to see some real content.

People are/were speculating about Horizon being open world because of last years rumours(this is from May) http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-13-kinect-MS-to-serve-hardcore-at-e3Meanwhile, Eurogamer has heard an open world driving game called Forza World is in development at UK developer Playground Games, helmed by ex-Codemasters racing studio executive producer Gavin Raeburn. this logo was also doing the rounds at the time I have no idea if this was a working title for Horizon or maybe online hub for the game..who knows,I guess we need more info on Horizon to verify whether the two are the same

I'm a bit worried about that "fast-paced, pick-up-and-play racing game" quote as well. A dumbed down Forza doesn't sound interesting. And I will kill someone if they make Kinect a requirement. Well, maybe not kill. Maybe.

To me, the title sounds like a green energy concept car.

Fast-paced, pick-up-and-play sounds like Burnout Paradise and TDU2, so I'm less worried than perhaps you are. ... even less so if the Forza license spans multiple games.

"Forza 4 physics optimized for Off Road". Have you seen the ground clearance of my Lamborghini? I doubt I can even get over the small rocks, not to mention the rocks, sharp rocks, light brown rocks, dark brown rocks... Anyway, having gone to college in Colorado I know how pretty it can be.

More info on this game from E3, from the Forza people. From Jalopnik, a more irreverent look at what's coming. Not thrilled with all the emphasis on music, plus an annoying DJ. Isn't the sound of a freaking V10 good enough? Sheesh. I'm also worried about this: Jalopnik: Are you still using the Forza 4 physics engine? Has anything changed?
AH: It is based on the same physics engine, yes. We did tweak things to allow for more "stylish" driving, though. "Stylish"? Are we going to get style points? What is this, freaking figure skating? And this Q&A killed another of my secret hopes: Jalopnik: Can you import your cars from Forza 4?
AH: Not really— they're different cars. Some special ones, yes, we'll have Horizon versions of them, but not all of them. And finally, this: Jalopnik: So, in this big open world, how is everything structured?
AH: The basic premise is you're attending a festival, and your goal is to become King of the festival by gathering fans. You do that by winning races, risky driving, stunts, special challenges and events. *Sigh*

season pass $49.99/4000 MSPBuyers will get six Season Pass-exclusive cars at launch, along with access to six car packs and the major expansion pack recently confirmed for release on December 18. Grabbing the lot will apparently equate to a 17 percent saving over buying everything separately. That is quite a lot for a season pass for me...wait for an 'all in' release next year?

Yeah, an extra $50 on top of base price is a hard sell on a game I'm not sure is going to have more staying power than Most Wanted.

Yeah, I've just watched another developer video and it all "this is great and that incredible", yada yada yada. I'm getting the Limited Collector's Edition just because I'm a bit of a Forza-whore, but since pretty much every car they've previewed on their Facebook feed is something I already have in Forza 4, I don't see the need to spend a lot of bucks for more of the same. And I'd have to hear more about this "major expansion pack" before I buy into that. Oh, and since I don't listen to music while I race, all those songs included in the music festival is a waste for me.

More info on the demo: Microsoft has announced that a demo for the open world spinoff of Turn 10's premiere Xbox 360 racer, Forza Horizon, will be arriving on Xbox Live Marketplace on the 9th October.
The demo will allow players to experience the Colorado area of the game with a tidy selection of car models. They'll be able to experience various Festival events including a street race over the fictional Finley Dam. The demo will also allow players to enjoy the Rivals Mode after completing the events, where they try to outdo each other's time. Players will be allowed to explore the entire game map as well.
Finally, if gamers play the demo, they'll unlock a special custom 2013 SRT Viper GTS in the full game. " Players will be allowed to explore the entire game map as well". Well, that's nice .

This is true for me, too, but I don't know that I'm glad about the idea of getting two similar racing games.
