the AI in F3 sucks in my opinion. I don't race it single player at all since it's not a challenge at all. hated shift personally, cars felt like they were on rails to me. the cars may feel better to you once you adjust some suspension options.

Are there any racing games that base the AI off of uploaded user races? It'd be cool if my artificial opponents drew from the races driven by other players near my skill level. And I don't mean straight ghost replays, but more general stuff like mimicking racing lines, braking points, car tuning, curves taken poorly, stuff like that.

there was a game at one point that sorta used the 'gamer dna' concept and let you race against the AI's interpretation of your friends. can't recall which game though

Still considering getting this, I'm just afraid I'm going to crash all of you and you'll eventually delete me from your friends list all together

Well Forza 1 did have the option for you to train a "drivatar" to race for you. You just did laps and it somehow based your drivatar AI on how you raced. That they ditched it for Forza 2 & 3 kind of tells you how well it worked. So I guess I'm looking for something like that, but done better, and with better integration.

I've noticed if you hire drivers, that you don't get any Driver XP or Car XP... only money.
I could have sworn that in F2 you get some XP even with hired drivers winning races? Or am I just remembering wrong.

Haven't messed with 2 for a while now, but I do remember that as well. You also had a choice of which driver you wanted to hire, which could affect how well they did. Now it's just a simple hire/fire setup.

Has anyone heard anything on possible new DLC? We've had the Hyundai and Hot Holiday car packs, which were nice. This got me thinking about what other cars that out there that might be a good fit. I like the high-end performance machines, but I've been having more fun trying to squeeze as much as possible out of the F through C class cars.
I'd like to see some like these: 2010 Chevrolet HHR SS 1988 Pontiac Fiero 2004 Ford SVT Lightning 2001/2002 Plymouth/Chrysler Prowler (I gave the 2 years and makes due to the crossover after the Plymouth name was cancelled) 1997 Subaru SVX
What are your thoughts?

2006 Toyota Rav 4! I want to take my car on the Nurburgring!
Seriously though, I have always wanted to drive a Porsche 928. Is the Stingray in the game? That would be cool. IROC Z? I would love it if they would put an Infiniti G20 in the game. It was in Gran Turismo 2, but it was in production at that time, so there was a reason for that.

I thought the IROC was in the game. We miss ya Tegs!
My latest task is beating all the people on my friend's lists top lap times and doing it in a car that has less PI than them. Makes it quite challenging. I spent about 3 hours tuning a car to beat Kato's time on Road Atlanta Short and managed to beat his 200 time in a 162 car.

It can become addictive too. Since I getting to race with some of the folks here on the forum, I've noticed my driving getting a little smoother and I've been double checking my thoughts on tuning. I guess only having the AI to race on a regular basis for so long I got kind of lazy.

Just FYI, I notice that there is a new car pack available, the Autoweek 2010 Car Show pack. Also one of the cars is available as a freebie. Cars still need to be bought in-game of course. Since I only got to one of the cars of the last pack I think I'll pass for now.

I bought the pack, seems like some nice newer fast cars in it, so I'm all over it.

The Lotus 2-Eleven sampler car isn't too shabby, can be a little squirlly w/o tuning, but looks like it's a pretty good A class car out of the box.

Car's a little squirrely in real life too If art imitates life, the front end o fthe car is feather-lite and it will respond well to basic tuning techniques that soften the front on turn in then slow weight transfer a little. (so maybe try soft compression and somewhat harder rebound front but soften rear sways so the back doesn;t start to snap too much) Also, because the front is so light it's important to roll on the throttle so as not to bring weight off the front too quickly. I find that what works in tuning a 911 is also appropriate for the Lotus cars, give or take. This is, by the way, just a wild ass guess

New DLC coming tomorrow, Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit. The latest Forza Motorsport 3 downloadable add-on has been announced, and this time around, we’ve re-created one of the world’s most renowned and technical tracks for your racing pleasure. Introducing the Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit, a demanding road course built to test the mettle of the world’s best drivers. The DLC pack comes with 2 tracks on the Grand Prix Circuit and will cost only 400 MS points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Not usually a fan of DLC tracks, since they aren't part of the career play, but this is a pretty good race course. There is a trailer available on XBL.

So anyone considering getting the Forza 3 - Ultimate Platinum Hits edition? I'd rather wait till the new, supposedly "Ultimate Edition" only cars become available as DLC, but I don't know when that's going to be.

Is it just extra cars? I've hardly scratched the surface with the cars in the base game. But I'd like to play it some more since my wheel is just sitting there collecting dust.

The Ultimate collection has all the DLC cars, and I think the Nuremberg GP track DLC as well. It also includes three cars labeled as from "Stig's Garage" as a tie in to the UK Top Gear Series, as well as a 90 minute video taken from the show. Finally there are seven (I think) cars that are new and unique to the Ultimate Collection release (one is available for free as a "sampler" DLC). These last two car sets are the ones I hope they will release as DLC to everyone. I don't really want to spend $30 for ten cars, since I have everything else. Also I think, but am not sure, that the five original VIP cars are not in the Ultimate Collection, nor does getting the UC give you VIP status in the game, which really only affects the Auction House.

To start over do i have to delete the whole game or is it possible to remove my save game only?
I would like to know this as well as I last played my career over a year ago and didn't get very far and would like a fresh start. I imagine you only delete your saved game. Better to try that then to delete the whole thing and realize you were wrong.

Yep but can't actually see where to delete my saved game. The only option from the xbox seems to delete the 10 gig install. In game there is no option
