Has anyone played the game, Demon Stone on PS2?  I played it over the weekend and thought it was pretty cool, but really am waiting for it to come out on the Xbox.  Anyone else played it or looking forward to it?

I was somewhat interested in this, but a little gunshy because I believe it's made by the same folks who made the Lord of the Rings action games that, although beautiful to look at, were UNGODLY hard and frustrating...

Well, I intend to pick up the Xbox version (supports Progressive Scan, faster loading, etc), as soon as it comes out.

Although I have to ask - why did the PS2 one launch first?

I enjoyed it very much.  A quick action romp that was shallow but a nice experience.  I think its getting between a 7-8 in most reviews and I found those pretty appropriate.

Is it, to quote Cleric7's appropos description, UNGODLY HARD?

Not in my opinion.  It has three difficulty levels and it wasn't too frustrating.  The main frustration could be sometimes long separation between checkpoints.  I haven't played either TTT or ROTK but Demonstone didn't seem nearly as hard as I've been lead to believe about the two LOTR games.

I bought and finished this when it first came out. I thought the game was pretty fun. Most people will likely find it better as rental as it is beatable in a couple of days.

Demon Stone is nowhere near as hard as the LotR games. I finished the game on normal and only had difficulty with the end boss.

I really liked switching the charaters on the fly... could always spice upa  battle by playing with a new guy and the story was cool...  I wonder if the X-Box will improve the graphics even more...?

It's definitely not as hard as LOTR games, but it is still difficult enough so that it's not a puch over.  It's really cool b/c you can play with 3 different characters and try to work your way through the game.  If I'm remembering correctly, it got an 8u.3 from Gamespot.

I'd like to get it too but I'm also waiting on the XBox version.  The only games I get for the PS2 anymore are the exclusives (certain RPGs) and the semi-exclusives like GTA.  I'm glad it good decent scores but I swear every game of this type is just a little shorter than the last.

I'm not really concerned about the length that much.  I just want a game to be fun.  I'm hoping that the graphics and stuff are even a little bit better on the Xbox, which in my mind, might be hard to do.
