probably, if this demo video is any clue.  I like how the light reflects the colors of items onto the surrounding areas, and it makes you wonder how much longer until everything is photorealistic.

Since it's supposed to work with existing 360 and PS3 hardware, it better not make current PCs cry unless you are trying to max the settings.  The implication is that it's scalable to some degree, at least in theory.

Crysis was scalable, it just wouldn't look like all the fancy screenshots unless you had a SLI'd uber machine at the time.

they offered a free educational license  to universities or use in various courses, and it looks like it may have been a popular offer with 250 universities signing up
