Sorry but I rarely console game, but I am having a craving for FFT, but I don't want to play that game on my Gameboy SP.

So what is good in that lines? What is the game to get?

Of course the Stella Dues thread doesn't really have impressions. frown

Disgaea, if you can find it.

just started stella deus, & will post soon. meanwhile, i left a link in that thread to some impressions on gamefaqs. &, if by 'that game on my gameboy sp' you mean tactics advance, i can't recommend a better srpg - i enjoyed it more than tactics, myself...

on the ps2, disgaea's always a good (if kinda wacky) choice...

How about Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1?  You can play it on PS2 with no problems.

It's the precursor to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I'm guessing that he's already played FFT, hence the craving, but doesn't want to have to play on the GBA to get more FFT.

Picked up Stella Dues since they didn't have Disgaea.

Sorry, for the confusion, I have FFT Advanced, and I really like it, but I can't stare at the small badly lit screen for that long on my SP. I was hoping for something for the big screen. I might have to check out the original FFT.

Gamespot said Fire Emblem isn't due out here until November.

Thanks for the advice guys.

You need a gameboy player, attach it to your Cube and BAM instant easy on the eyes.

I'd recommend Fire Emblem and Tactics Ogre and get the GBP

La Pucelle, Phantom Brave (both PS2)
Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre (PS1)
Fire Emblem (GBA)

That ought to get you started.

La Pucelle owns Phantom Brave (goddamned circular-style...the grid is perfectly fine for crissakes).

I just finished Growlanser II. It has that Working Designs magic, excellent characters and story. Fun gameplay, but dated graphics. Not that I particularly care about graphics in these style of games.

You need:

GameBoy Player
Fire Emblem
Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1.

And watch out for FE for the Cube.

FWIW, Stella Deus looks, sounds, and plays exactly like the original FFT.  Not quite as similar to FFTA, but still very much in tFWhe same vein.

It does?  Not one that I'm aware of.

Edit:  Maybe you're referring to the Metal Gear game, which I guess is technically a tactics-style game.

Gladius is quite good as well. Dirt cheap if you can find it too...
