Yea, just watched the traielrs myself, I dont know if I like the intro one, but, from what I saw of the forest fight, it seems ok.  There really wasnt much to go on really though.

had the japanese language(english subtitles)for a while now....i actually thought it was great(yeah,over the top...but so what) so i am looking forward to when this finally gets released...why it took so long i dont know ...i remember the rumours that it was only going to appear on UMD for the PSP...thank god that isnt gonna happen

this also lists the special features that the two discs will have,one of those listed is 'special sneak peek at final fantasy 7 game'......so.....that could only mean the vincent game......right??....we would of heard about it if it was the much rumoured final fantasy 7 REMAKE.....i guess i am just hoping ,after seeing the final fantasy 7 tech demo a couple of months ago,LOL

My Gamestop was playing the full movie when I was in there yesterday.  Looked awesome.

My chief reservation is Mena Suvari's vocals.  Her performance in Kingdom Hearts 2 is unbelievably awful and I believe she is playing the same role in Advent Children.  Might have to go with Japanese Language on this one.

Gamestop is offering an "exclusive" third bonus disc.  I had pre-ordered at Amazon due to the lower price, but switched to Gamestop for that bonus disc.

over seas I believe they got a whole specialedition set, which I wish we would have gotten here.  had like a film cell, a figure, a shirt, a soundtrack...

i'm not terribly concerned about the special gift set, myself (especially since there weren't very many made).  i have my cloud/fenrir figures (the re-sculpt; i know the bike isn't painted quite as well, but i don't mind), i have the soundtrack.  a cel would've been nice, tho...

yeah I just would be happy to see the movie finally..but I'm not to excited.  It just seems like the length of the movie, and the basis of the story is just a "thought you might like to see these characters again."

Don't take me wrong, I loved ff7, but i'm sure it should of been left at that.

Just to let everyone know - Circuit City is selling FFVII: Advent Children for $14.99.  I might be moving my order from Gamestop and their "exclusive" third disc to CC just because it's a great deal.

Don't take me wrong, I loved ff7, but i'm sure it should of been left at that.

Having seen the Japanese version, I can vouch that it is definately worth seeing.  The story is a bit thin, but FFVII:  AC is one of - if not the most - visually stunning pieces of work I have ever seen.   This includes games, movies, TV...anything.  As long as you can suspend disbelief (basic laws of physics apparently do not exist in Midgar), it is a wonderful, amazing ride.

Oh, and you get to see all the old characters again.

You did realize that swinging a 6'x1', 500-pound sharpened slab of metal is nigh impossible, right?

I will not mention that they are also casting magic spells, since that issue is insignificant compared to the size of the sword.

I meant besides all the stuff we saw/knew about from the game (giant swords, magic, etc.).  I'm talking people jumping straight up 10 story buildings, falling from 1,000 feet and landing on their feet, flipping a motorcycle 180 degrees at full speed then riding backwards while fending off two attackers with swords in both hands.  That type of stuff.

also, back on the topic of the special giftset -- i was given to understand that not only were they about $300 each, but there were only about 300 of them made.  it might've been fewer...i don't quite remember.  but they were sold out ages and ages ago, and you'd have to give up several internal organs to get your hot little hands on one. (but beware, transmutation of such a high level can result in homonculi...XD)
