I am surprised Dante's sold so well, I thought it sucked.
Also, where are all the Bioshock buyers for the PS3?

Bioshock is pretty much considered a 360 franchise.
The first game didn't come out on the PS3 until like a year later.

Wow. Did not expect that at all. This appears as if it could be a VERY interesting year in console-world...

It amazes me that COD:MW2 continues to sell so well. I'm surprised the Mass Effect 2 numbers weren't better.

MW1 was one of the best selling games of all time. You didn't expect MW2 to be the same or even better?

I bet 300k of MW2's sales this month were people buying used copies from those of us too frustrated by all the glitches to keep playing it...

Really great month all around. The Dante's Inferno number is actually shocking. Good numbers for Heavy Rain considering its genre (or really lack thereof).

Wow impressive month - I wasn't expecting there to be only a 60k separation between all 3 consoles! Great month for the 360, especially with it still being quite close to the holiday season. Also impressive that each console has at least 3 games in the top 10. I'm also amazed at just how terrible the PSP numbers are - my God they're almost as low as PS2 numbers! [Edit] I don't think this months Mass Effect 2 [360] numbers are all that bad, considering it released Jan 26th and it did 570k in it's 1st week. Sales of 810k within 5 weeks really isn't too shabby, especially for an RPG.

There are supply issues for both the Wii (sold out at the moment on both Walmart.com and GameStop.com) and the PS3. Where I work (major retailer) they are saying it will be May before they expect regular stock.
In other words, while the next few months may result in interesting NPD reports (and possibly hurt Sony a lot given their big titles), I don't think what we're seeing represents some sudden change in what consoles are most popular.

i am surprised Heavy Rain is 10th,even though it was the end of the month it was out(23rd Feb),but it was an exclusive to PS3 and everyone was looking forward to it...i myself wasn't keen on the game(and had troubles),but i know there are a lot of people who did like it,i thought it would of done like Mass Effect 2 did in its first week
i am looking forward to next months PS3 Vs 360 Final Fantasy 13 sales,i am sure that will be interesting
does those PSP sales include the PSPGo?

They estimate a 100% of the market so it does include online retailers.

Everyone now has a Wii confirmed. Also, everyone now has 4 DSes confirmed. Apparently, they are predicting this at Nintendo, or at least, that they expect the sales to slow down.

Dante's Inferno had all those adds on TV that made it look awesome. So I'm not surprised it did so well. Most people buy games without reading reviews.

Count me as one of those missed opportunities for Sony because of their supply issues. I was seriously thinking about buying a PS3 slim to play God of War 3, and some of the other PS3 titles, but there is not one to be found where I live.

Based on what I see for goozex requests it should be at least 2:1 if not 3:1. Looking at goozex is a bit problematic as there are many people like me who request both and will take whichever comes first.

I'm continually surprised that PS2s are still selling. I would imagine that these are primarily replacements or due to BC issues. The catalog is impressive, but I can't imagine too many people buying them without a serious back catalogue or financial restrictions that limit their choices .

It's a game that's a playstation staple and since we're more than 3 years into the PS3 lifecycle, I can't imagine many of the series' US fans don't already own a PS3.

If the rumors that the shortage is due to heavy demand for laptop HDDs then it's a shame that Sony is being hurt through the decision to make part of their system non-proprietary and allow users a choice on what drive they use. If they had gone for a more consumer unfriendly approach then they probably wouldn't have a supply problem right now.

Seems like everything is 300 to 500 or more now.

Laptops start at 250 nowadays and go up from there. What makes little sense is that the PS3 can accept any laptop drive you can throw at it. Maybe they have a deal to use only one manufacturer, and for whatever reason, they can't keep up?
