This supporting character may not fit neatly into the console sidekick stereotype, but Kreia from kotor2: sith lords was not only the highlight of that game, but one of the most interesting sidekicks in recent memory. The story and writing for her character had a lot to do with it, but the voice acting of Sara Kestelman made Kreia even more memorable for me. The cutscene at the Jedi Academy with Kreia and the 3 masters is one of the best gaming moments I can remember. Too bad the game turns into poo shortly afterwards.

No villains yet?
I'll say Auron, from Final Fantasy X.

I think you could classify Kreia as a villian, depending on your perspective.

I think you could classify Kreia as a villian, depending on your perspective. I wasn't trying to criticize you, I was asking, why isn't there a villain thread yet? (I haven't played KOTOR2.)

Clank... (Ratchet & Clank) Yeah, for this generation, I'm gonna have to say Clank as well. Love that laugh. But the secondary cast from Beyond Good and Evil makes a close second. What a great cast and crew.

Wow, this is tough... HK-47 was a favorite of mine, but i also really liked the fuzzles in Munch's Oddysee - and Munch himself, squeaky wheelchair and all. I'll have to dwell on this a bit, I'm sure there are others I'm just not remembering! And the first Ratchet game I ever played - the Deadlocked beta - doesn't have Clank in it, so he's out, for me anyway.
