Ninja Gaide Help (Chapter 11, bug?)

I've beaten Doku (one of my favorite boss fights ever) and i've completed the puzzle to get into the upper balcony.

I pull the lever and now have an escape from the arena.

However, after that you have the opportunity to fight 60 fiends in the arena and after beating them, you are rewarded with a trunk.

How do you get to the trunk?

The platform that I used to get to the upper level (if this is where the trunk is) has moved and I cannot reach it.

Is the trunk actually not on the upper level?

Is there a special jump combo I have to do to reach it?

You get to the trunk the same way you get to the top lever - no special jump combos needed.

Actually, that's not true.

The platform I originally used was no longer reachable. An alert gamer on GG said I had to wall run/jump and that's in fact what I had to do. It was so blatantly apparent that I missed it.

I was so thrilled to finally figure out how to do it and where I had to do it that I cheered a bit after it was over.
