You know, some of you people seem to think of phone-home companies as trustworthy as banks.

"They will always be there, why worry? And certainly, because they value customers like me so much, they would take the time to patch up all their games before they closed shop, as if THAT could ever happen. Steam for instance is too big to fail. And hey, that's all beside the point. The main point is that because I like to play my games and then throw them away, I refuse to acknowledge the concerns of anyone who is anal enough to be nostalgic."

There's my rough summary of what I'm getting from some of you.

There's my rough summary of what I'm getting from some of you.

That pretty much succinctly covers my feelings on the subject.  I understand it's frustrating to those of you who might someday have trouble playing the game in the future.  I just don't give a crap.

And based on one of the other threads, apparently the DRM has been completely cracked. And look at that - it's BEFORE release, too. I see that the protection was flawless as usual.

It's an unusual situation in that the pirates got hold of the game only yesterday. Usually they get them much earlier, so they haven't had time to get it cracked yet. Expect to see that change today.
