Steam has this game for $3.49, so I gave it a try. Apparently, this game was the precursor to the excellent Fairway Solitaire, as it plays almost exactly the same. I gave up about 3/4 of the way through Fairway Solitaire because it became too difficult, but this game appears to be quite a bit easier. It's still very addictive (especially with the addition of pets that you can hatch and level up), so if you're a fan of Fairway Solitaire, I'd recommend trying out this game. There's no demo on Steam, but you can find one at BigFish.

I actually reviewed it last year. It was honestly one of my favorite games of the year.

I remember Gratch's review catching my attention. I bought Faerie Solitaire off his recommendation and LOVED every minute of it. If it wasn't for Civ 5 and Etrian Odyssey 3, I'd probably fire it up again, just based on this thread.

Pretty sure Faerie Solitaire followed Fairway Solitaire, not vice versa.
Both excellent games, IMO.

been loving this, but damn the randomness can get annoying sometimes. I've consecutively gone through half my deck without getting a card that I can use. I just had the 'get a string of 10 cards' objective, and I'm dreading the next time that pops up with 12. it's almost like the faeries are stacking the deck against me

The developer, Subsoap, is doing a Kickstarter-like thing where you can preorder Faerie Solitaire 2 with various rewards, paying anywhere from $6.97 to $997. If you preorder, you get an in-development version now. They are also offering the Infinity Bundle. For $27, you get all their current and future games. If you bought Faerie Solitaire from them or anyone else, you can get the Infinity Bundle for free.

I have no idea what any of this is, but there are fairies and cards and the irresistable words "infinity bundle", so I pledged my $27.

I'm going to send a few bucks their way as well. Faerie Solitaire was a blast (even if the iOS version sucked) and the devs were great folks as well.

That's kinda crazy. I bought Faerie Solitaire from them last year, so now I'm going to get one of these VIP codes?

and I'm done after playing about half way through. definitely got my money's worth for the pittance I paid for this, but I don't feel like dealing with another setup where I have 4 of a kind all in the front row or having to play through the same section for a third time because of crappy draws.
