According to GameSpot Fable will be out for PC this fall under the title Fable: The Lost Chapters. As indicated by the title, the PC version will feature additional content not found on its console counterpart. There will be additional quests to undertake, new regions to explore, and a deeper storyline. Gamers will also be able to use new armor and weapons, cast new spells, and slay new creatures. I'm looking forward to this. Anyone else who hasn't played the Xbox version?

Man... it'd be nice if they told us there was going to be a better PC version coming... I'd have waited.
Fable was fun on the console, but it's clear that game was born to be on PC.

I was just thinking about giving Fable a try on the Xbox now that the price has dropped. I've waited this long, I can certainly wait for what sounds like the superior PC port.

It wouldn't suprise me if this version was available as a launch title on the new Xbox this fall.

Sure would have been nice if they had offered some of this as content downloads on the Xbox. The game was short and pretty bleh.
It's very Zelda-ish, so I'm not sure how well it will translate to keyboard/mouse controls.

I actually liked the game on xbox. I expected a good interesting action rpg type of game with some twists. That`s what I got. I know why some people are upset with this game, I just don`t understand it though  . To each his own.

I'll be sure to buy it only when my cost out-of-pocket still results in a fiscal loss on the unit for Molyneux.

I played this at QuakeCon. It looked really pretty, but I found the interface to be kind of average. Of course, all I had was an abbreviated que card and I didn't start at the beginning.
I spent some time running through hallways of forest meeting some people I could talk to, and some that would kill me. It had the classic choices for being a good guy, or kicking ass as the bad guy. The controls were okay, WASD to move, Mouse aims your view and clicking swings the sword. I had several alternate weapons (bow was all I could get to work).
The areas were of decent size, but it suffered from the same thing KOTOR suffered on the PC: The areas were always closed in and zoned alot. I think this is a holdover from the Console port. Now, it did keep the framerate high, though that wasn't hard because I wasplaying it on a Dell Nvidia SLI system. Mmm...eye candy. The game has the graphics.
From the twenty or so minutes I played...I couldn't tell if it would be an RPG I would really want to pick up. I think, because of the style and the fact that it is an RPG, that it will be promising once I start from the begining and know what the @#$@% is going on.
It is a bit annoying when these NPCs keep talking about eating shrooms and some sort of magic shroom of truth....
I'll prolly pick it up...release day..not sure.

I wonder how much they added to the Xbox version. I beat the Xbox version in 8 hours simply because the side quests were not at all exciting to go through picking them up and doing them.

Have they ever posted the PC requirements? I couldn't find them on Microsoft's or Lionhead's pages.

Its coming out on Xbox too. I always felt Fable was too terribly Consoleish to make a good PC game. We shall see.

I'm excited about it-I am just going to trade in my XBox copy that I was about to start and wait for the PC version-better graphics, better load times, more quests, more weapons, all for 20 bucks? Sign me up. I can always play it with my PS2-PC controller if the keyboard setup sucks. Looking forward to it, now I just have to get rid of my XBox version

According to GameSpot the PC version will be $49.99 and "an Xbox version of Fable: The Lost Chapters is expected before the end of the year as part of the Platinum Hits line of games with a $19.99 price tag."
Sucks.

I really liked the X-Box controls. I'll be waiting to the X-Box edition for 19.99, unless a great mod community happens to pop up.

Sucks. Uh that sucks big time. THey said all along that it would be 19.99 for PC from the get go to. Assholes. What is with the constant lying and misdirection nowadays?

If it comes in that silver Platinum Hits case I'm just not going to buy it. I hate that shit. I'm still pissed that VF4: Evo only came in the PS2 Greatest Hits packaging. I'm sick like that.
