I voted an 8 after about 4 hrs of play.

 6 Pluses -

1. Graphics are quite good overall
2. Love the GPS directional system and the GPS mapping of the island
3. Pretty decent number of cars
4. Cars fairly easy to learn how to control
5. Love the Live implementation within the game
6. Good sound

 6 Minuses -

1. A few bugs have crept up that lead me to believe there may have been some quality control problems (had some lockups, something I NEVER have on my 360, plus the net code seems a bit wonky with lots of jumping and skipping cars)
2. Car models could be A BIT more detailed than they are, same goes for the character models
3. Not a big fan of the house to store cars thing, that and a few other things seem quite tedious
4. Game is a wee bit repetitive
5. Too many Enzo's
6. Can be very difficult, at least from what I am seeing, to find online races for car classes other than the maxed out vehicles

I gave it an 8; I've put in around five or six hours total if I have to guesstimate. smile

  • I love the scope and exploration feel of the game. Lots of varied roads, I love how it really feels like you're driving on a big island!
  • The map system (and "teleporting" system) is both useful and convenient, but still focuses on the exploration by having you drive someplace once before you can instantly travel there.  Good stuff.
  • Nice variety of rides to pick from, and having avatar customization is a cool extra imo.
  • I love seeing player names above their vehicles smile

  • Driving control is a little squirrelly; somewhere between a sim and an arcade racer, as if the devs couldn't decide which control scheme they favored. slywink Leans slightly more to sim on control, but only barely.
  • The downside of having such a fleshed-out location is that it leaves the game feeling a little bland at times; it's odd getting used to such little variation in the scenery, though that's not actually an issue with game design.
  • As jblank noted, unfortunately it's hard to find anyone online running anything other than A-class vehicles.  Would be nice to see more variety in car classes for racing other players.
  • Music selection for the in-car radio isn't bad, but is definitely lacking variety.  I'd say it's about as varied as PGR3 was.
