Ah, my innaugural CG post and it's potentially great news:

Quote

Once again, it appears that an online retailer may have preempted a major announcement from a publisher. Earlier today, EBgames.com began listing both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions of ESPN NHL 2K5 and ESPN NBA 2K5 for $19.99. The new price point is the same as for ESPN NFL 2K5, whose discounting sent waves through the industry when it was announced last month.

This is gonna be a heckuva year for sports games.  I hope ESPN grabs some significant market share and turns this into a serious competition.

I hope so too.  I'll by the NBA and NHL games this year, which will be a first for me.

3 more hours till I'm off... frown

This signature is intentional, ie not a mistake.  If you thing Rick Perry should be forced to resign for this crap, you're part of the problem with our country.  Give me a freaking break.

I'd definately give ESPN's NHL series another shot at $20.  I wouldn't pay $50 again until I was assured it was everything the hype originally led me to believe.

For $20 I'd try hoops.

Hockey is a no brainer, though I do agree with stiffler that ESPN was sub-par last year.
