I'm playing legacy with the Chattanooga Mocs and having a blast.  I don't like all the recruiting though, I wish I could set that to auto.  Is that possible?

My record is 1 - 2 got beat by the Vols.

The Mocs actually beat the Vols this year though!

I have still not got into the Legacy Mode Eco... so I can't help you there.  I know you can set your coaching staff to help you, which is supposed to take alot of the grunt recruiting work out of it.  But I haven't done it, so I don't know what you would still have to do yourself.

Glad you are liking it though.  It is an absolutely kick-ass game.  Next to ESPN Football 2k5, I think this is my favorite sports game of all time, at least right now.

God that was an aweful game for you.

I think Denver shot like 35% from the floor.  It got to be hilarious at the end (as most of our games do for one reason or another).

-  -  -  -

and not to jump the gun... but have you seen the new pitching scheme for ESPN Baseball 2k5?  It looks like you need a Masters Degree in Relational Physics to figure out how to pitch the freakin' ball.

I can't even imagine what that will be like for us come April-ish.

The years go by... we get older... the games get more complex...  we suck more and more...

It's a vicious cycle!

Mike, I don't know how old you are, so you may not remember this... but I am pretty sure Devil will.

Do you guys remember that old Nintendo (i think it was) hockey game where all you had to pick from was the skinny guy, the normal guy, and the fat guy.  One was fast but weak, the other was strong but slow as crap, and the third guy was average at both?

May have been for the original NES.

What was the name of that game, do you guys remember?

Now that was fun, simple, sports gaming right there!

Come now.  I'm a young guy, just 24, so I'm sure you two aren't too much older than me.  Of course I know this game.  Had a nice, simple title, too.  Ice Hockey.  That game was always a blast!

Well, I'm still good tomorrow night, I just wanted to see if you wanted to get a head start.  Let me check to see what time Blade: Trinity is playing and I'll get back to you.  smile

Tomorrow night I'm good before 9:15 or so.  I have a hockey game at 10.

Tonight = OUT

Thursday = IN

-  -  -

I must play early... Sleepy Dwarf here.

(Devil is already aware of the sacrifices he must make to play with me... ie... early night games around 8:15 to 8:30 start times)

OK, then how 'bout this:

I beat up on Captain Sleepyhead at 8:00 and then get my ass kicked by Roller Boy right after?

That way Ponch can be in bed and Mike can be done for hockey. Either that or you two can play against each other and I'll sit in a corner a pout until it's my turn.  smile

Where are the brackets?

O.K.   8:00pm sharp.

Count me IN.

Michigan Wolverines   vs    Iowa Hawkeyes

There is a small (and I mean very small) chance I will have to be part of a business dinner meeting tonight which would pull me out.  If this happens, I will let you know via this thread.

Have you gone to the doctor's like I suggested?

Seriously, have you?

Cause these little 'delusional' spells you are having are becoming more frequent as the months go by.

I am starting to worry a bit with the baby and all.

Oh, word of warning: free throws can be a big laggy online, so any timing patterns you figured out offline may not work.

After a hard fought 7 point loss to the Hawkeyes, the Wolverines missed a last second shot and fell to the NC 91-50.

LMAO !

Our extremely small sports community here at Console Gold is absolutely priceless, is it not !!!!

And for the record, Devil continues to beat his team into submission so that they set record lows for shooting percentage:

Versus the Hawkeyes, the Wolverines shot an abyssmal 31% from the field.  Some of that may have had to do with the fact that Devil could not remember which button was SHOOT and which was PASS.  (I know, it's a very, very difficult thing to remember.  Two buttons to memorize is alot to ask of anybody).  Therefore, with reasonably open shots, his shooting guard was making incredible passes into his power forward on a consistant basis rather than be called a ball-hog.

- - - -

Mike - Sorry I did not get your post before it was too late.  I was busy up until 7:45, so I would not have been able to play.  However, anytime you want another win your W-L column, let me know.  I will be more than happy to help you out.  Maybe early next week?

alright I got this for xmas.  I hate college sports, mainly cuz I'm not familiar with the teams and don't really root for one, but when the other NBA games suck so bad, I got desperate and put this on my list.  Holy shit this game is awesome finally a game that's done right this year.

I haven't really read the manual so maybe you can help a lazy gamer.

What's the trick on freethrows.    My gamepad vibrates like a pulse, is that supposed to mean something?

When I start a legacy mode, how come I can join any team I like?  Do you start at the bottom and work your way up based on reputation and such?

How do you do an ally-oop?

Think that's it for now.

For the life of me I cannot figure out why Sega spends the time to make a very good game, but then absolutely ignores quality control.  I think the only Sega Sports game I've played in recent memory that didn't have very noticeable bugs was the most recent ESPN Baseball.

This game is awesome and does so many things right, but nothing aggrivates me more than the random lockup while simming off days.  It can wipe out a whole game's worth of progress and honestly makes me just want to stop playing.

I know it's just $20, but can't I have less bugs?  Please?

There's a selection to view freethrow help.  Try that.

There are two types of legacies: open (select any team) or coach[whatever its called] (work your way up)

No idea on alley oops.

My copy seems to have a sound glitch - static instead of music loading.  Also, it seems that I can't save my User Profile via 'save and exit' after legacy games and therefore my user stats are fucked up.  Anyone else enounter similar problems?
