I keep trying to figure out how to pre-order it.  I went to Nintendo's site the other day and didn't see a way to do it.  The site you link is in Japanese.  Do you know how to pre-order it and how much it is going to be?  I definitely want it.

And according to the site, it's online only.

So...anybody care to direct me to a preview/review of this most definitely 'different' title?

Oh.  For some reason when they said it would be sold online only I assumed it meant from Nintendo's site only.  Thanks for letting me know.  Time to go pre-order.

Wish I could read Japanese... where's Qbe when you need him?!

Looks interesting, but from what I saw (very briefly) - I can't tell whether to get excited about it's quirky goodness and it's puzzle-ishiousness - maybe - or to be afraid of it's platformy-ness....

Did that make sense?

I'm confused.
I've seen this in my store once, and I was intrigued by it, but we had no DS yet. When I went to get a DS for my son a few days later, it had been sold. Was that a Japanese one??

It sounds like a neat little game, but I don't think it would hold my interest for that long.  Maybe if it goes for cheap somewhere I'd buy it, otherwise I'll have to rent or borrow it.

This game doesnt interest me very much at all.  It sounds like something that could be made for the internet using Flash.

It isn't really a game or anything.  It is more of a music/art toy.  I want it to tinker around with, but I also didn't think it would be 34.99 so now I am thinking I might hold off, especially since I just ordered Ouendan, which cost a decent amount of money.  I will probably break down, though, just maybe not on release day.

Ding Ding Ding!
This is not a game at all. No puzzle element or rhythm presses or anything like that. You just press the screen and watch and listen to what you just pressed. To me it is very cool but I have not touched it since October. It is fun to show to friends and let them mess around with it for a few minutes and watch their response.  I feel anybody buying this expecting a "game" will be sorely disappointed.

Got mine from EB online today.  I played around with it a bit and I think it is very cool.  I need to read the manual to see what all I can do to affect the sond.  Keep in mind that this is definitely not a game.  I see it more as an art piece, really.

looks like I'm screwed.
EB is out.
I had an order thru amazon with Target but it said it wasnt shipping for a month, so I cancelled and ordered thru TRU, which said it would ship in 2-3 days, but after I placed the order it says mid March (which probably means never).

I finally got my copy. It is an odd little toy. At first, I plowed through the 10 different electro-plankton and I got scared that it would bore me. However, there are some really neat modes in here, like the Beatnes, which is like an NES sound box with a beat behind it. Also cool is the recording fish, which let you sample 4 4 second sounds and it plays them over and over to a backbeat. Actually, every mode is interesting, with some more than the others.
But it is not a game. Not at all. Fun, yes, but game no.
If you like music, try to get a copy and mess around for a while. Otherwise, get a guitar or some instrument and learn to play for real.

I am currently playing with the little shooting plankton, and I can't stop. Its so cool! The slightest variation in the layout makes a completely different sound, and it will be a beautiful sound at that.
