Holy crap God of War looks friggen amazing.

There's something distinctly better about the combat gameplay. I think they retuned the timings on animations so that there's more punch on the first part of the animation, then the follow through. All the previous got of wars tended to have the attack speed pretty normalized.

Anyway, I still don't like the character and story enough to buy another one.

So in on Wonderbook. I can't believe they only spent 3 hours on the demo. What? That was actually 20 minutes?

The Sony presentation was WAY better than Microsoft's. It's kind of interesting to me that watching the MS presentation, it felt like a bunch of marketing weasel-bots trying to sell me on stuff I didn't want or didn't have any interest in (outside of Halo 4 and Splinter Cell). Plus they didn't even bother trying that hard to disguise the fact that they SO want the Xbox to be a media portal first and a game console second. At least Sony's message was more gamer centric. Their games just seemed so much more compelling and interesting. Even the AC3 demo felt unique. Hell, even the Wonderbook thing was mildly interesting. I know my 8 year old daughter would eat that book of spells stuff up in a heartbeat.

For me, the ranking of who "won" so far:
1. Ubisoft
2. Sony
3. EA
4. Microsoft and their weasel-bots.

I can't wait to see what Nintendo has in store. They'll either blow us all away or crash and burn hard.

Microsoft also revealed the 2012 Summer of Arcade - Tony Hawk HD, Hybrid, Deadlight, Wreckateer for Kinect, and Dust.  If you buy any three of them, you get 400 MS points back.

Also, Sony revealed the new additions to Playstation Plus.  They're creating an "Instant Library" with twelve games to start and more added each month.  Starting tomorrow, PS+ users get -

i was pretty "MEH" on Sony and MS.  Guess I need more to be excited about.  Only game the Sony has coming up that I would like to play is Last of Us, but I have no desire to own a PS3

Welll looks like I'm signing up for PS+ ASAP.  There's not $50 worth of content there for me but it's close and that would still leave another 11 months worth of freebies.

From Wednesday 6th June European PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download and play 10 games up front as part of the new PlayStation Plus offering.

From next month, three of those games will change, and you'll get at least three games per month thereafter. Sony stressed that whenever you join Plus there will be a minimum of 10 games for you to start playing right away. Also, there will be a PlayStation Plus Game of the Month, which will be changed every four weeks. The game of the Month for June is Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.

The list of six games to start the overhaul off (as each pair of titles is replaced, the next pair will remain for 12 weeks):

    * Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
    * Chime Super Deluxe.
    * Darksiders.
    * Renegade Ops.
    * Outland.
    * Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD.

In addition, for the next 52 weeks, whenever you join PlayStation Plus, you can download and play the following three games for as long as you subscribe:

    * inFamous 2.
    * Motorstorm Apocalypse.
    * LittleBigPlanet 2.

That makes for a total of 10 games,

The rumor was you would get a bonus for having a membership prior to the announcement, so I got suckered by that, but I'm still glad I bought a sub - Infamous 2, Space Marine, Ratchet and Clank, Just Cause 2 and Sideway are all games that I've wanted.

yeah, that's going to be a drawback.   I was hoping they'd be able to get better battery life.
