Watching on G4. So far they have just showed some PSP highlights and Jack Tretton and Kaz Hirai have done some embarrassing stuff in Home using their avatars.
New PSP is announced - 33% lighter, 19% slimmer, better battery and video out (which should have been in the original, dammit!).

From Kotaku:
"Kaz says it's 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer. The batter is more efficient too. The PSP can also output high quality video. He's showing off how you can upload video from the new PSP to the television. He's plugged a cable into the PSP and now it's showing the video on his PSP playing on one of those big-ass monitors. You switch the video to the television by pressing the display button. You can also play games through your television with the new PSP, show off photos as well. 11:50
McWhertor: The new PSP looks very, very much like the current PSP. Interesting. That PSP to HDTV capability is very cool."

Did they actually say it's the same screen? Pity, I was hoping they would upgrade that to one which has less ghosting.

If the new PSP has a higher refresh rate/response time then I'm in. Hate, hate, hate the ghosting on the current PSP screen.

As I promise, apologize to Turtle for getting the PSPSlim prediction wrong-but we were BOTH wrong-this is a much, much, much more incremental update than was rumored previously.
Still, the tv out feature sounds really good, and the price poitn is great-my concern is, as usual, whether or not I will actually play handheld games-otherwise its an awesome piece of hardware with cool tv-out functionality that I want but isn't that useful.

Unreal Tournament 3 timed PS3 exclusive.
Could be a big deal-exclusive over PC release too or just 360? Could be big. Too bad the Sixaxis is a grossly inferior control device for shooting games (oh yeah, can use M/KB...nice!!)

Timed? He specifically said this year so I'd say, yeah, timed. Launches in November. Same for Haze- another timed exclusive.

Not happy about that. Nice how Epic is playing both sides, though. Good for them

I think the fight over the pricing of downloadable content for Gears might have burned a few bridges between Epic and MS.

I'm a big fan of the Sly Cooper games. I was hoping for another title in that franchise, but Infamous looks like it could turn out pretty well. I hope they deliver on that promise of letting players choose "between hero and anti-hero." -Autistic Angel

I was actually hoping Infamous would be more NBC's Heroes than "Dark, Gritty, and Angry Bald Guy saves the World". Could be a great game, but that trailer only showed that the direction they are going doesn't seem too inspired.
Killzone trailer was cool, didn't think the game looked that much better than Resistance or Gears of War, and it certainly isn't as nice as the "trailer" they showed last year which is kind of dissapointing.
Don't want to poo poo too much on the Sony conference, but like the other two, it wasn't as great as it could've been.

Infamous has me interested. The abilities of Crackdown with the choice of being good or bad sounds like it could be fun. Still not sold on Uncharted.... graphics are nice but the game just doesnt look fun to me.
