Well, piegeonholing GTA: Vice City into Driving games is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. When I hear "driving games" I'm thinking PGR, Gran Turismo, Breakout, etc. not Driv3r or GTA: Vice City.
Anyway, Vice City was the better game. Since you use the argument of "sameness", Driv3r is basically the same as its predecessors with more money behind it and a broken gameplay system. There is another game with director's mode from Reflections (people who made Driv3r): Stuntman.
I think this is a silly argument, but you do have a lot of balls to say you like Driv3r better...and everyone is entitled to their opinion
