When I first glanced at those images, I immediately took note of the 4th one (with the close up of the veggiegal) and thought to myself "What the hell? What's a token male JRPG protagonist doing in this game?"

looks absolutely fantastic, and anything similar to Baldur's Gate has the potential for great things.  BG2 is probably my favorite game of all time, so this is easily one of my most anticipated games of this year.

Wow, the latest art passes really cleaned up and unified the look of the game.  Before the blight creatures looked like puppets, but this latest art pass added just the right amount of detail and texture work to make them seem lifelike.

I'm just curious if anyone here knows what the recommended system spec's will be? I remember seeing them some time ago, but it looks like they've added more resource intensive features since then. I have some concerns now that it may not run at all on my 3 year old PC. I could always get the 360 version, but for this type of game my preference is PC.

me too, playing most games on my laptop, but soon it will become too old to play the new games. It does seem though, that most games today are multiplatform, so I'll probably get them on Xbox or PS3 . And this game looks hot!

that is awesome...great to see that Bioware isn't holding back at all to make the game they want.  everything from the gory violence, to the sexually suggestive scenes, to even the music chosen for that trailer makes it clear that they're focused on making a very mature game.  Dragon Age can't come soon enough

BG2 had a brothel w/ quest but it was nixed at the last second so not really anything new imo.

Sure - I thought Mass Effect handled it very well.  The sleaze I was referring to was the psychotic levels of violence and buckets of gore that seem to be all the rage these days.

That trailer was laughably bad.  Violence and sex can absolutely be mature subjects with the right presentation.  The presentation in that video is anything but mature and screams as a play for the stereotypical teenager Xbox crowd.

Agreed. This game looks atrocious to me. I've yet to see or hear anything that made me want to play it and this should be at the top of my list. IMO, the talking points of the game that I've heard are just awful (like limited character options that have a unique 1-2 hour opening section. woo-flippin-hoo).

Yeah, that's an E3 trailer all right - 0% gameplay and loud-ass music at the very end to try to draw some attention.

That's the same song in the violence trailer, aka Marilyn Manson, aka New Shit But Still Shit.  You know I'm really starting to get annoyed with this game.  It feels like a giant betrayal.  Bioware comes off the awesome Baldur's Gate series and then pumps out a ton of games that are mostly good and fun, but have such terribly cliched PG13 storylines with black and white morality.  Then they talk about a new IP and make all these promises about being new and different, blurring the lines and they promise it will be PC-exclusive.  Then we find out it's being ported to consoles.  Then we find out the PC version has to be delayed because the console version isn't ready yet and they want a simultaneous release.  Then we see trailers like the violence trailer that scream "HEY 14 YEAR OLD CONSOLE FANBOY, CHECK THIS OUT I THINK YOU'LL LOVE IT!".  And I wonder to myself, is a game that's trying to attract 14 year old console fanboys and that they just might love it, is that a game I'm going to enjoy?  Then I look back at all the broken promises and I just have to shake my head.  Wait and see indeed.
