rumor has it DD2 is going to be announced next week, and that it will be a PS4 exclusive.  my guess is that it's the Deep Down (DD) footage we saw at the PS4 reveal.  if true then it'll be the second game I want for the PS4  thumbsup

That rumor has been around since the PS4's announcement and the first showing of Deep Down.

While I'm not sure about full exclusivity, I can see that it will be exclusive for 6 months to a year.

Competition for games is going to be fierce this year, and the big 2 will be dumping buckets of money to secure some kind of exclusivity for 3rd party games.

yeah thats the same Neogaf thread i used on the MS E3 titles that were leaked,i saw what it said about DD2 but then people started going on about how the E3 list was fake,so i didn't comment on the PS3 DD2 rumours.....be a dumb move IMO

I can see it being in the PS4 presentation at E3,but it still being a multiplat title...how many Capcom titles ARE currently exclusive to one console?<<serious question,as i don't know

Well, I do see developers/publishers signing up for limited exclusivity periods of 6 months to a year, in fact, even more so that last generation. This is because the cost to develop games are expected to have a jump with this new console generation.

However, I do think that the jump won't be as high as the previous PS3/PS3 Xbox/360 jump since these consoles are both the same hardware, and are basically equivalent to a mid-high level PC.

The only way I can see full exclusivity is if they started funding a game early enough, similar to a second party deal, but with less overhead. Basically a lot more money early on, no strings other than exclusivity and right of first refusal.
