I finished this last night I liked the game, the graphics and art were great, but i do feel a little disappointed I killed pretty much everyone i came across and got the ..i guess bad ending If it wasn't for collectables, there are some missions that could be done very quickly, even with no killing It was a good little title to fill in the gaps between Borderlands 2 and the games coming out now,but nothing more i think Yep, you got what is my least favorite ending. If anyone wants to see how things could have been different you can see them here. MAJOR SPOILERS

I started to see what achievements i could rinse from this before i traded it in,and there is one where you can let vital targets live,by having other people take them off your hands and out of harms way if you do them a favour..so i mission selected the first target(about mission 3 i think),and just ended up playing through the game again and this time i got low chaos and the good ending...Samuel was more friendly this time, infact the whole last level was in daylight instead of darkness, and Emily's picture of me before that level looked human rather than Terminator(the mask)..in the end i got 44/50 achievements,so not a bad haul

I just finished this tonight and have to say that I really enjoyed it overall...very cool and well executed concept. I was going for a non-lethal playthrough and almost succeeded, but I somehow got charged with two kills over the course of the game. I went out of my way to avoid intentionally killing anyone, but the level stats show that I killed one person in each of two different levels...not sure what happened. That still gave me the most positive ending though. That said, I did find the ending to be a little disappointing. After all that happened in the game, I found the final mission to be surprisingly simple and was really disappointed by my final deeds that brought on the ending cutscene...pretty anticlimactic. I still had a lot of fun getting there, however, and think that Dishonored is a great game overall...would love to see a follow-up at some point Spoilers for my ending...Spoiler for Hiden: I managed a 'very low chaos' ending in which I stopped Granny Rags, saved Emily, left all the major characters alive, brought an end to the plague, and died a hero...not a bad life's work. I was really disappointed that my final mission to stop Havelock was as basic as climbing the lighthouse, walking into a room where he was standing alone at a table, Blinking behind him for a choke-out, and letting Emily out of a locked room. As soon as she jumped into my arms, the final cutscene and credits rolled...no final dialogue with the big bad guy, just a summary of everyone's life after the rescue. It wasn't bad, but I guess I expected a bit more.

So quick question - I know there is an effect on the game if you create chaos by killing, but does morality have any effect on chaos? For example in the first mission I find a note that says some guy is waiting somewhere with his life savings. Am I penalized in some way for stealing from him or is it just a role play thing?

No morality although sometimes doing side missions will have effects on later events, like a character will help you or a house will be abandoned and boarded up.
The chaos system is actually pretty logical. Killing people results in more corpses, which increases the number of rats feeding on them, which in turn increases the amount of plague victims.

They'll only feed on someone if they are dead, not if they are passed out the ground? That's kind of them.

Unconscious people tend to get back up before being thrown in the dead body landfill. what if you get the Shadow Kill ability that turns foes to ash? no corpses for the ratses Well, um, you see…magic draws the rats because… *runs away*

Rats will totally eat unconscious people. It may not bring more rats, but they will eat 'em and mess up your no-kill game.

I have this game. I don't dislike this game. But I can't seem to motivate myself to play this game. I've had the same problem. I like it when I play it, but I can't actually bring myself to play it. It may be because the levels are fairly massive. I was actually kind of hankering for it last week and then Tomb Raider hit.

The Knife of Dunwall DLC expansion is out today. It includes three new missions and people are reporting that it takes between 3-8 hours to finish depending on your play style. That’s a pretty nice chunk of content for $10.
Mine is downloading right now.

Picked it up and gave it a spin at lunch today. The gameplay is definitely more Dishonored, but I don't really have any connection to this new character - at leas not yet. I don't think this is really a spoiler, but just in case... (very beginning of DLC opening cutscene spoiler) Michael Madsen is fine as the main character's voice... This guy's not a mute like Corvo.

I just completed the first mission of the DLC. I spent about 2 hours with it, completed all the optional objectives and finished with a nonlethal score. If the other two missions are as good this will be one of the best pieces of DLC content I’ve played.

I finished the DLC campaign tonight. Completed all side objectives and didn’t kill anyone. Total playtime was 5.6 hours according to Steam. The third mission was the shortest and weakest of the bunch but still very fun. A very solid piece of DLC all around. If you enjoyed Dishonored and want more of the same from a slightly different perspective, I highly recommend it.
--Edit--
And… I also completed a speed run on the hardest difficulty playing as the most ruthless bastard who ever lived. For those that like to replay, there are multiple endings.
