There are a lot of permutations on the ending, but here are the main three in video form:

Might I suggest a "never played it" option in these polls, as blasphemous as the option may seem?

Nope.  Came across the Fallout series very late (i.e. about 8 years after release), and never really could get into it even after multiple tries.  Same with Fallout 2.  It's one of the only Black Isle RPG's that never grabbed me.

I did beat Fallout 3, but it's not a game I look back on particularly fondly.

Yes, only about three times.  I've finished Fallout 2 at least six times though!  These are all my time favorite RPG's.

I was late to the party on both Fallout 1 & 2, and it took several tries before either sunk its hooks in me.  They have really bad pacing in the openings, and it can take a while before the flow of the turn-based system melts away and feels natural and awesome.

Fallout is one of those games I keep coming back to, but never finish.  Though I've finished both FO3 and NV.

I tried playing it, but shortly after it's release I was distracted by

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Age of Empires
Curse of Monkey Island
Wing Commander: Prophecy
Quake II
Gran Turismo

Plus I was still playing Castlevania SoTN,  Final Fantasy VII, MDK, XWing vs. TIE Fighter, Carmageddon, Final Fantasy Tactics, Hexen II, and Ultima Online.

I was already hosting LAN games, so pretty much Quake II was at fault, and some fantastic like Loki's Minions 2 and Action Quake - and we played the hell out of Dark Forces II - bound all the jedi powers to numpad so I could execute stuff like force invisible and force blindness right away. I'd always go to level 6, so I had some dark, light and padawan powers. I don't like commitment. slywink

Yes. Yes I did.

Got deep into FO2 as well but some kind of post Interplay patch bug ate my save game and I never finished it. I also boycotted all additional Interplay games released and forced them into bankruptcy.

I actually went back and started FO1 again within the last 5 years and got a good 4-5 hours in before quitting again.
