I prefered to buy wired mouse too being afraid of lags of wireless ones and the need of periodical battery changes. But i heard that this new wireless version of razer naga (i think it's called razer naga epic) has the same response rate as wired. I don't care about this new D3 mouse. I will play the game with my wired razer naga and when it comes all other games are going aside. I think Gratch now knows that wireless is not always better

I had a wireless mouse, never again. nothing sucks worse than doing a wow raid with a keyboard because you forgot to charge it.

I've had a basic MS wireless mouse for years. Have to replace the battery about once every 4-5 months and have never noticed a latency difference between wired and wireless. Y'all are apparently far more hardcore about your gaming than I am.

I play games competitively using a wireless router. Surely if that can work without any issue, a few bits of mouse movement data is no big deal. I haven't experienced any issues using wireless mouse either. The mouse cable getting stuck or causing extra friction is more of an issue.

Y'all are apparently far more hardcore about your gaming than I am. I briefly used an MS mouse and it had a very perceptible lag every now and again, so for instance I would move the mouse to the end of the screen and it would miss a small chunk of that movement. No issue for normal working but an absolute no brainer for games. Wireless mice and wireless routers have very little in common

I just bought a Logitech wireless laser mouse after my G5 died after a few years of excellent service. It's my first wireless and so far I haven't noticed a real difference in performance, seems to track just fine in all the games I've tried with no misses or skipping.
It's a 2 battery mouse which claims to give me one to two years before running out under normal use. So far so good.

I've been using (Logitech) wireless mice for years. I've never noticed any lag at all. What I do notice is cords pushing against desk clutter, hindering smooth movement. Wireless all the way for me!

I can't stand wired mice but I choose the wireless mice that have the cord plug into the front so that in an emergency when the current battery dies and you have no spares in the house, just plug it in for 30 minutes.

the AH thing only makes sense. I knew a few people that made bank selling D2 items on sites. it's only logical blizzard wants in on that. not to mention it makes it way less shady. I'm totally down to farm to make some cash on the side. Even an extra 100 would be nice.
You can still sell for in game gold too. it's not any worse than sony doing that with everquest.

Permanently on is no issue for me as i'm permanently on.
Really it's to be expected and I can see even more going that way, once the big boys are in to it then it's even more likely to happen.

That's not a whole lot different that Starcraft II and its use of Battle.net. I have to admit, it seems like a pain to log in to Starcraft 2, but when my computer crashed and I migrated to my new one - all my saved games where right there waiting for me to return.

1) The game requires a constant internet connection. It cannot be played offline.

I just skimmed and didn't dig into the massive amount of posting going on but did we get a release year yet? I'm not moronic enough to expect a release date, just wondering if we're looking at 2011, 12, 18, what?

I can't find the quote, but basically they said they'd like to ship this year, but they won't sacrifice quality to make a ship date.

Awesome. I'll read that as within 12 months, and not 12 years, we should be playing.

As far as requiring an internet connection goes, good for them. The benefit of a more secure game for 99% of its players outweighs the inconvenience to the 1% of players who for reasons beyond my comprehension don't have access to the internet. I mean come on, people in third world countries have wifi in their homes now.
As for the auction house using real currency, I want to say this will have a detrimental effect but I'm sure Blizzard knows better than I do how it will affect their game. Does this mean players will be able to buy their way into elite character status now?

I don't like the no-mods rule, to be honest. Make it to where any items dropped in a modded game are flagged, can't be sold on the AH, et al. Basically, it's gone from "Day One' to "When is it on sale for $20?"

Not sure about the max level characters thing, but competing in PVP against people who are buying better weapons than you feels a little unfair.
