And the terrible ending with 4 buttons.

Edit: It's been 18 months since the game released. Just about time for the sequel to be announced.

Also just in time for it to be released on this year's new consoles. Hopefully it's on the new consoles so that the devs don't have to make as many gameplay and AI concessions.

It sucks that we're stuck in that time between two generations where we have no idea which platform a game will launch on. I'm hoping the same as you. Deus Ex would benefit greatly from the new generation, and would feel held back by the current gen.

Sure, but if it's a current generation game, it'll still be held back. Even the PC experience would be dramatically different on the new gen.

Whoa, wait, what?  I missed this thread.  Yes, I'm 100% in for this.  I *loved* the previous DX title.

Adam Jensen may have "not wanted this" but I damned sure did!   Now they need to reboot Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver.

Give Adam a throat lozenge in this one. Or remove the cyber gravel from his robo-larynx.

Game or movie, I'm still excited.

If it's a movie, even if it's straight to video, it should be pretty cool. I suspect it'll be a 3D animation, but live action would be interesting as well.

If it's the sequel, great. Let's hope they learned some lessons in DE1.

Yeah, not the best idea to announce tomorrow.

That said, it is about time. Heck, they definitely have it timed right as I've been feeling the desire for a new Deus Ex style game something fierce.

Apparently they've fixed the boss fights for the Wii version, which is a good sign they knew they did wrong. However, I had a bigger issue with the crappy ending.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Which was literally 3 buttons and a hallway with another button, including terrible logic for most of them. Really hoping they don't try to import those endings in.

Deus Ex: The Fall will hit iOS this summer for $6.99.

And have $50 worth of DLC buried inside as well (if Squenix's other titles on mobile devices are to go by).

it's coming in installments, so it could hit that price without factoring in the DLC.

I think most of us don't want to play them. This whole thing was a seriously shitty thing to do by the publisher. Did they really think it would end well when they teased a new Deus Ex game and then revealed it for mobile platforms? It was a seriously misplaced publicity attempt. Core gamers generally don't want to play their games on mobile platforms, and a teaser announcement like what we got isn't aimed at anyone but core gamers. No wonder the video is downvoted so badly.

Edit: And by video, I'm talking about this. At the time of writing, the ratio is 668 thumbs up vs 9033 thumbs down. Pretty telling.
