Watched the gameplay and liking what I saw. Although it's a little annoying at how they're really not sure of how they want to portray their zombie apocalypse. First there's the trailer, which really doesn't reflect on the game. Then there's the setting and characters, which is a really weird, and somewhat bad racial stereotyped. Then things like crappy one liners

Also confirmed is 4 player co-op on the mostly open world island. You can go through the whole story campaign in co-op. That's enough to make be buy the game.

Yeah, the dated graphics bothered me a bit but the potential for storytelling and free forum exploration look to be there as well as trying to survive. I wonder if they will go the full route and have you have to find food to eat and get sleep every 12 or so hours only to get woke up from a zombie attack. I'll have my eye out for the PC version but not sold just yet.

I really hope - but do not expect - they will go the "full route" and have something like a "you must eat, find shelter, sleep" mechanic (and not just in I'm running past some ammo/medkit and grab it). I'd be really surprised as I think the trend is not to those "I want to experience a zombie outbreak, barricade myself, forage for food/supplies" gamers but for people who like shooting stuff. But even if they don't, I'm no fanatic.

Still, if somebody did create a zombie apocalypse - and there have been attempts - that has a sort of RPG, Builder, turn-based (yeah, I said it) feel to it, I'd grab my shotgun and some reloads and be there.

After watching the last trailer, I'm going to cancel my pre-order on Steam (which SHOULD be allowed, according to their refund policy). I was hoping of something more like Just Cause 2/GTA mixed with Oblivion, only... you know... killing zombies. What I see is closer to Left4Dead, and I have both of those and haven't finished them. Also, the Call of Juarez Cartel buzz has me spooked. For the price of admission, I think I'll wait for reviews.

I wonder if we'll have to go kill rats?   I'll be eager to hear how it is, though I think I'll wait on the sidelines for now. I hope it's fun.

I guess what I'm curious about is it if has the randomization and scaling difficulty that kept L4D/L4D2 games entertaining and unpredictable even after a few playthroughs.

if that's true then people won't need to be bunched up, and could in fact split up.  MP could be very epic in this game.  I think Blackjack needs to get it
