On the Ascaron website Darkstar One FAQ it says that the game does not use Starforce at all. I guess I'm in. |

I got it over the weekend... My impressions, I have none. Game crashes on startup if I set the video rez to my monitors native rez which is 1680x1050. They have acknowledged the problem and said it will be addressed in the next patch.

Finished it. Fun for $40. My wife had a good laugh at one point with one exchange in the game. You pick up a female copilot at one point. During a space battle this was the exchange:
Leader of Pirates attacking you: "We are not afraid to die!"
Copilot: "Well that's convenient."
I killed 1204 pirates by time I was done with the game, but it was a lot of fun.
