It does'nt bode well that the demo wont even install for me. At this stage you'd think they would have a working installer but no. It wants to install to C: as all things do so i change it to E: and it says I dont have enough space...even though I do. When looking at the installer it shows how much space on E: I have but reads the REQUIRED part as 0. So theres the problems.

1. It reads the space wrong in the required field

and

2. It fails to install saying that my drive is the one with the lacking space.

BAH a pox on you M&M.

Nm back to junk. I got it installed but when I click the icon it says M&M.exe encountered an error and needs to close. I guess its either a pos or my old vid card is missing something it needs. Yet more crap that i want to play that i cant. thanks a bunch companies for leaving me behind for no reason.

Got it running by using NT2000 compatibility mode but its still not right. I get black screens with a white line box wit ha diagonal line through it until the loading screen pops up. Then in the demo itself its really choppy with stuttering sound until finally a ways in it just locks up on me.

Specs..
P4 2.4ghz
1 gig pc2700 ram
GF4 ti4200 vid card

That system is pretty marginal.  Demo's are not usually optimized for low end users.  Is the ti4200 even DX9 compatible?

I had no problems getting it to run on my system.

I liked it.  Looks like it has a lot of potential, depending on how varied the skills you add are.

Compatible doesn't mean it has to have DX9 features, just drivers that support it. The Source engine runs on DX8 cards fine(with some missing features of course).

Have yet to get it after trying a dozen times.  Servers always full.  Will try in a week or so and report back then.   The vids all look very good.

Just go over to FileFront.  It's free, fast and I don't think I've ever gotten a full server from them.

This was pointed out to be Arx Fatalis 2 rebranded..  Arkane Studios.  That makes me really happy, that studio is capable of some great stuff and unique concepts.

I am stuck in the demo and feel dumb about that. I think I suck at these type of games, but still enjoy them.

Save file that allows you to fight the Cyclops at the end of the demo. Pretty cool.  thumbsup
