In essence that is. Demon Stone is a third person fighter set in the popular D and D universe of Forgotten Realms. I never thought much of D and D and rpg's arent my thing, but I looked into this game after I saw some screenshots and it looks really cool. Its not an RPG, but you can level up and buy new weapons, which is always good. Any press on CG for it?

Official fact sheet, box art, press releases, 55 screenshots from the PS2 version alone...yep....we gots us some of that:

Just searching for "Demon" in the searchbox at the top brings up that record.

From what I saw at E3, it'll be a solid contender...I only wish it had multiplayer.

Everything I've seen pegs it as a single player game.  You can switch the character you are playing on the fly, from Fighter to Thief to Sorcerer (I believe).  It's a shame.  It looks nice, but any single player D&D title makes me go, I'd like to adventure with my friends too..  *sigh*

I agree with you. The screenshots are stunning, I cant get over 'em. And the plot was written by RA Salvatore, thats awesome. I read some of his novels and really like them. It will be interesting to see what he incorporates into this game, apparently the plot was writtin just for the game, not a book port.

After playing "Happy Uninstall Disk Destroying Bug Hunt" aka Pools of Radiance II I'm really looking forward to D&D done right.

KD,

If you want D&D done right, grab Temple of Elemental Evil.  They got the table top game run by a DM nailed in that one.

I loved City of Heroes, thats what really got me hooked in the first place. Demon Stone wont be exactly like that (not an rpg), but if it can take the great fighting out of it, Ill be set this winter.
