To me it looks like a Halo-like game, but done properly for pc. I thought the first one had a Halo-vibe as well, and now that the sequel has 'smart' aliens as opponents, it feels even more like it. Really looking forward to it!

Looks cool... but I have the nagging voice in the back of my head reminding me that I didn't finish the first one, and quit not too long after aliens started to show up (right after I got out of their ship (or maybe that was the first time I got out of the ship?  Wouldn't know...)) And this one looks like it's all aliens...

You didn't miss too much. It went all linear after that.

Not just linear, but it was boring to fight aliens in the first game. Warhead changed that up and made aliens more interesting.

It's looking like in Crysis 2 the aliens are pretty similar in combat and tactics to say, Covenant Elites from Halo. So big guys in power armor, quite a change.

Also, I hear that the guys in the MP aren't wearing full nanosuits, but rather lower grade suits with some of the abilities built in? Is this true?

Yeah, it got linear but I still liked it the ship level.

That's good to hear... I downloaded the 360 MP demo for this, so I'll check that out tonight maybe.

MP demo was SO underwhelming... kind of mushy on the controls, totally generic... COD w/ cloaking not done as well...

Did you try the traversal stuff, or the suit modes?

That's where the game shines I think. As you jump around you can grab ledges and pull yourself up, slide under obstacles and more.

Although honestly, since they were aping halo so much in the single player, I was hoping they would put in a co-op mode, but sadly the devs have already said that there will not be one.

Multiplayer skills video

Shows off how you upgrade your nanosuit for multiplayer. The aerial assault skill looks like fun. So does stealth. I always play strength or armor but may change it up this go.

That's good to hear... I downloaded the 360 MP demo for this, so I'll check that out tonight maybe.

I might as well give that a shot, see how it looks on the 360.

In a strange turn of events however a nearly feature complete PC DirectX 9 internal build of Crysis 2 PC busted out onto the net last night. Not only that, but according to reports the complete Crysis 2 multiplayer master key is now out in the wild as well.

I wonder how this made it out... You would think that with all of the leaks in the past, they would beef up security... It's one thing for hackers to release retail version when they are in the stores, but something like this leans towards internal theft of some sort I would think....

People are only human, which applies to both the staff and the people who stole it. It only takes 1 security hole, and one desperate person to cause this.

I've got a copy pre-paid since I liked Warhead so much. The original Crysis I didn't even finish.

Meh, "limited edition" doesn't mean squat anymore.  EA has basically made it so every first-run game is a limited edition, and if it does well enough to get a second run then it will likely be packed with some DLC anyway so who really cares.
