My "SteelBook" copy arrived today. Still waiting for mine to ship. I was tempted to just print the manual on Friday.

Did you get any kind of shipping confirmation, or did it just show up?

I got an email saying there was a "status change" on my order and that the status had changed to "shipped". That was Wednesday, it showed up on Saturday.

Huh, I haven't seen that email. Maybe they're shipping them out in waves.

No email and no game yet for me either. I ordered about a week before it was released.

I think they just sent out a huge set of shipments yesterday. I ordered the Mac steelbox at essentially the last possible moment, and it shipped yesterday.

Frozen Synapse has got me digging around for some other "simultaneous turn-based" stuff. I found this thread, although it seemed to have just gone kaput in May. Does anyone still play? I'm still miffed at the former Big Time Software for turning its back on its older titles done for Avalon Hill (Flight Commander 2, Over the Reich and Achtung Spitfire! were the turn-based air combat titles I bought). I couldn't get those to even install on Windows XP. I've "voted" for them at GoG.com, but I doubt they're too high on most folks' lists.

I was always sad that Big Time never got around to making the Pacific version of "Over the Reich" / "Achtung Spitfire" that they talked about.

While I can't begrudge them for riding Combat Mission as far as it would take them, I just wish those older titles had gotten updated for at least Windows XP. I recalled exchanging some posts with a Big Time tech rep about it way back when, but he basically said ... well, he put it more politely but it was basically "we don't care about those old titles anymore, too bad you can't get it to install or run."

I had forgot about Achtung spitfire and Over the Reich. I think I still have the box versions out in the garage. I loved those games. I doubt an updated version of these will ever see the light of day but it would be great.
