Only had time for five minutes before work but I liked what I saw.

Looks great on my new rig. I really like the fire effects. Gameplay feels good but hard to say with only a few minutes of gameplay.

I love me my 360, and I LOVED the mp beta on the 360 (and wouldnt mind picking it up for cheap to occasionally play MP with my console only non-pc heathen friends), but I will be there day 1 buying the PC edition and loving every minute of my mouse and keyboard and maximum resolution gaming in this badboy. Played on veteran and had an even better time than on normal. Hardened will come later, but that seems very hard!

Now see, this is the game that I struggle with knowing which system to get it for.  For me personally, The Orange Box was a no-brainer PC purchase, but this....

Does anyone happen to know if any type of mod or sdk software will be released at some point with the game?  In other words, do you think we will be seeing new mp maps for the PC that the 360 won't be getting?

Also, what are the mp numbers for players on each system?  Is it 16 (360) and 32 (pc) like TF2?

I may need to start a poll.  I will start a poll.  Since I'm betting most people at GT are getting this game, I want to know what system people are leaning toward.

I'd hate to see how hard Hardened is.  Modern weapons are crazy accurate enough with out the AI getting perfect aim every shot.  The NV portion was really cool- I wonder if they have that avaialble every American mission.

Oh, and I'm so looking forward to revisiting Pripyat!

Absolutely loved it.  Even on my old PC.  Very well optimized.  Best CoD game to date and one of the best shooters I have ever played.  Must must must must must buy day one.

So then i downloaded it from FileFront. Its over a gig but when I click it it says its not a valid win32 application.

So guess I wont be trying that demo out.

360 and PS3  =  16 players
PC = 32 players, but can be uncapped if you have the hardware and infrastructure to handle it.

sounds like you are getting a truncated file.  exact file size i see is 1,473,748,992 bytes.  if you have less, that would explain it.  you are running xp right?

Ya XP and the file I got off GT came in a zip file. it unzipped fine too. And thats the exact size of the exe.

Wonder why no 360 demo?   All these new demos for sooo many big titles and not this one seems odd is all. 

I would really like to see how it looks on the 360 before I make my decision.  I have yet to find a single console game that looks as good as its pc counterpart and really want to see the 360 version before I make up my mind totally one way or the other. 

But for a pc demo, it rocks big time.  Ofcourse 90 percent of the bells and whistles are turned off so I can play it, so, I can only imagine what it must look like if you can crank EVERYTHING up.  Must be unreal.

And like any CoD game, the action is frenetic chaos at its best.

actually it looks like they left out a bunch of the bells and whistles in the demo.  a few of the settings only go to 10.

Found a way around my error. I right click and choose extract files using rar. then I ran the setup from the extracted files. Worked.

i always like to play with the enemy weapons.  it makes the game take on more of a vietcong feel, where you are not likely to hold on to your issued weapon for long. 

plus, there's a dragunov. that will be fun in mp.

Yeah, the dragunov is good, but I don't really recommend it on anything other than Normal, they rush the tank too quickly for you to get more than a few shots off. Also, don't try the Ak-47 on that part either-my god the weapon is inaccurate!

ok....I'm having trouble binding keys to the keypad...it binds, but they don't work in-game.  Maybe it's because I have num-lock on, but it's fine for EVERY OTHER GAME.

odd.  I binded a bunch of keys to the keypad and they worked just fine with num lock on.  is it saving any other keys you changed?

I usually try to bind most of the keys to the keypad (I use a left handed mouse), so I didn't try them out.  It kept all of the original keybindings as well as my own, so maybe that's the problem.

Maybe I'll try it again eventually.

Ok, I thought i was getting this on the 360 for xbox live, but now that I've seen it in all it's glory on my new computer, it's PC all the way baby!   I absoutely love being able to crank everything to the max, and this game on PC craps on anything the 360 can do.  1st day purchase for sure!

Your rig will run it probably quite well. If I recall correctly mine is only a bit better than yours (unless you upgraded the vid card up-what was it?) and in the very unoptimized Crysis beta I can get anywhere from about 15-40 FPS with pretty much everything on at 1680x1050.

Too much gaiming goodness on the way.  COD4, Crysis, Mass Effect, and I still have Blue Dragon and Company of Heroes opposing  fronts to finish, and more Halo 3 multiplayer.  Damn you 360 and PC!
