CoD: WaW Map Pack 3

Well, imo, the maps keep getting more and more interesting. I think Treyarch has done a much better job than IW with the maps.  Not sure I'll be in for MP3 though.

Unless it misses August entirely, count me in. I too have thought the map pack maps are getting better each time and these new ones look pretty sweet.

this is the first Call of Duty map pack that i am undecided what to do....i have bought all the map packs since COD2,but the last map pack for CODW@W i played about 2 or 3 times and then never went back to the game

as we seem to be paying a shitload for COD:MW2 when it comes out i hope Infinite Wards support that as well as Treyarch have supported World At War (i know 360 has a time exclusive deal on the first map pack that gets released)...i was surprised and a little pissed off when IW said they weren't gonna release anymore map packs for COD4

the pics of the new maps do look good though(and i do have to buy a points card for the new Fallout 3 DLC out in two weeks)

I definitely agree the maps have been getting better and better and I thought the most recent pack was amazing.  However we've got plenty of other games to play now.

I didn't pick up the second map pack because I was burned out already on the game, and I'll be passing on this one as well most likely. Still, can't complain about developers supporting the game long after release.

In, but probably only for the new Zombie map.  CoD multiplayer is too twitchy for my tastes now that '43 is out.

Even though nearly all my (limited) gaming is devoted to '43, whenever my party gets up to 4, we pop in Zombies.  The new Pack a Punch Machine sounds like it will add a little more to a great mode.  I just hope it includes stopping power or a extended clip.

hey, I still got Razgon and the PC platform is wonderfully SL free   plus it's kind of hard justifying paying for a map pack when I barely played the first ones.  and free is doesn't cost any MS quatloos.

To keep from burning out I've switched from my favorite StG-44 to the Garand and am learning how to effectively use rifle grenades. Not all that easy. At least now I can have people curse at me for being a "noob tuber" . They should be happy that this makes me no longer a "Bouncing Betty bastard"

I'm generally not one to bitch about people playing the game as designed, but last night I was on a server checking out the latest map pack (cool maps!) and some guy was just using rifle grenades, and I gotta say - it got old really fast... especially in really tight maps.  Not as old as Last Stand... but old.

I'm playing Hardcore so there are no aiming cues and I'm lousy at lobbing them through openings or high enough to clear obstacles. My reactions are too slow to be able to win a "shootout" on even terms. I too have been "noob tubed" endlessly in some games and I just want to be able to return the favor!

I have no problem with last stand except in hard core mode.  In normal mode grenade spam is my complaint.  hardcore cures the grenade spam since you'd be kicked very quickly for TK'ing and there is a respawn timer to prevent insta spawn and rethrow nades.  The hardcore makes last stand ridiculously good, especially with the split second invuln as you drop


rifle grenades can feel cheap when on the other side, but they are actually fairly hard to use well and get a good K/D, esp in hardcore.

Last Stand sucks in hardcore, especially if you have a bolt action rifle, which I prefer a lot of the time... so you get the kill, and before you can reload, the guy you just killed drops to the earth, pulls a pistol and shoots you... what the huh?

Thankfully most servers don't allow it, or Martyrdom, which is dumb, but easier to avoid.

I've won, then lost, many shootouts between a guy w/ a rifle grenade and myself... I kill him, but he's already fired a grenade in my general direction, so I go down too.  Lame.  In hardcore the rifle grenade is an easy killer because it doesn't take much damage to bring someone down.

The PPSh-41 is my favorite gun especially playing hardcore FFA no escaping the rate of fire from it point blank.

there's a place to discuss console games, and a place for pc games and in cases where a game is on both but has different features it can be confusing to have someone posting opinions that are only valid for one platform in the other platform's threads.

dunno..i just meant it came down to Wolfenstein or map pack 3...i decided wolfenstein

i will try MP..i quite liked Xbox 1 wolfenstein multiplayer,although by the time i actually got to the game(i was LTTP)...not many people actually played multiplayer

hopefully i can afford to get Wolfenstein and Batman...if not then i will wait a few weeks for Wolfenstein and get Batman first which is out the week later

i have 1300 points on my XBL account,but i think i may get that Shadow Complex at the end of the month

all of the above,pretty much confirms how much interest i have lost on W@W ...but Treyarch have been doing great support for the game

I was impressed with the video preview. One medium map and two big maps, all sounding interesting. This is a definite buy for me now. Wonder when it's going to be available, anyone know?

double tap doesn't do anything with the PPSh-41, it's already at the cap.

I guess you're right.  Only on consoles, tho. 

Unfortunately Double Tap, which should be extremely effective on the PPSh-41 due to its high rate of fire, low damage, and low recoil, only works in the computer version. It has no effect on consoles.

Okay, awesome birthday gift.  The new zombie map is great!  Even with just two people, especially once we figured out the teleporters.  Love the Clapping monkey bomb... very fun... also the chain-lightning gun, although I think that was added with the 2nd map pack.

Looking forward to getting some more play time in soon.
