Well, thanks to becoming newly married, bought a house, and bough two new/used cars within the last few months, I find myself on a much tighter budget than I am used to. One effect has been on my gaming habit. I've always been very ADD when it comes to games, hopping to whatever happens to interest me that week/day. It also promotes a HUGE backlog. Thanks to not having as much money to throw around towards games lately, I have actually gone back and started finishing some stuff in my collection. When I finish a few titles, I sell them to GameStop and pick up 2 or 3 used titles. I have to say, I'm getting much more enjoyment out of games than i have felt in a very long time. I'm enjoying the stories and doing more in each title, trying to really get my money's worth.
What I've finished lately: 1) Tomb Raider: Legend 2) Tomb Raider: Anniversary 3) Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 4) Fallout 3 (main storyline, going to go back and do more side-quests sometime)
Currently Playing: Assassin's Creed
Next Up: Crackdown or Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
So, in the spirit of my new found dicipline, what have you all finished up lately and what are your own gaming ADD stories?

Finished recently:
Prince of Persia Tomb Raider Underworld Mirror's Edge Call of Duty WaW Gears of War 2 Uncharted (Replay) Tomb Raider Legend (Replay)
In Progress But on Backburner But Plan to Return to In Relatively Near Future:
Farcry 2 Fable 2 Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen
Actively Playing:
Persona 2: Innocent Sin Persona 4
Overall I've been much more focused in my playing in the past year. I've completed the vast majority of what I want to complete though my backlog is still pretty much infinite.
But this is probably the first holiday season where I've managed to play and complete most of the holiday titles that I was really interested in and I have to say that's a pretty good feeling. Consequently my Christmas list is much smaller than usual (just Resistance 2, LBP, and Star Ocean 1).

I too have been playing, finishing (or at least playing til I know I never want to see the game again), then selling. There are a few I will never get rid of cuz I KNOW I will go back some day. I have quite a backlog because I have been able to pick up so many very cheap. Many cheaper than the actual rental cost.
I am playing through them but I know if games like Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Silent Hill Homecoming, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Prince of Persia, etc (pretty much most of the super popular games now) pop up for sale somewhere for sub $20 I will most likely just buy em. I am a sucker for that price point for games I am interested in. And no matter the game I KNOW they all get there eventually.
For example, saw MGS4 for $19.99, Ninja Gaiden 2 for $19.99, Ratchet and Clank for $19.99, and GT5 Prologue for $9.99 just this week. And all at one store. The deals just keep coming. If I didn't already have some of those I would most likely just get em. So, I wait and rent and play through backlog like you.

I have found that Gamefly keeps me with a tiny backlog and lowers costs. I did buy Fallout 3 but other than that I haven't bought a game in months.
I guess I could say that I have a huge backlog of games in my Gamefly queue but that doesn't cost me anything.

I have found that Gamefly keeps me with a tiny backlog and lowers costs. I keep saying that when I get my physical backlog down I'll switch to gamefly, but there's always something new I need to play now so the backlog remains.

Finished my Uncharted replay through.
Seriously thinking it's time for Far Cry 2.
Heavenly Sword is not holding my attention really.
Neither is Prince of Persia.

I've finished 20 games so far this year and am currently 30hrs/12 lvl in Fallout3. Think last year I only finished 8 or so as I decided to stop playing MP games (Mostly NWN PWs) and messing with OFP/ArmA random missions late in the year. I've done well but still have a restocked backlog as games I want to play hit the $10 mark so I snag them. Not much more I can get on my aging rig but I don't mind finally clearing the whole log and then replaying old/new favs or checking out mods. Then I have my console backlog to keep me busy.

Thanks to a heavy snow storm this weekend, I got some serious gaming time in and finished Assasin's Creed, as well as starting and completing Crackdown. Crackdown was pretty fun, but pretty short too. I found once I got my athletic ability up to a decent level, you can easily skip to the end of all the generals. Level 3 athletics + level 2 explosives +rocket launcher = butt kicking
