Civilization 4 Complete DRM free, anywhere?

Looking to pick this up DRM free--any of the download services have it that way?

Not DRM free though, according to their own FAQ.

I'm pretty sure most download services will require at least an on-install activation, but I guess impulse would be the lease intrusive.  You activate upon installation, and run at your leisure without the front end program.

A quick google search shows that apparently the physical version of Civ IV has no DRM

Just to check: Are you sure you actually know what you're asking here? Do you want it to be 100% DRM free, or do you want it to not have a restrictive DRM? The former is nearly impossible to find for any game these days, so there's not really even any point in looking for such a solution. For the most part, you'll only find games like that among indie developers and Stardock.

GoG.com is the only service I know where you can get completely DRM free games, and they don't have Civ IV.

Yep.  If you want true DRM-free without even a downloader/installer like Impulse, buy the latest physical disc version that says "DRM Free" right on the box.
