Hey Eco, I got our game reset because of my stupid blunder.  We were only a couple minutes or so into the game and still at 0-0, so I think it's fair.  Plus, who wants a 0-0 game and all the stats to be screwy anyway, right? biggrin

So, when do you want to play?  I'm good all week!

Hey TML, I'm glad you got it reset smile

Tonight I should be able to play around 10:00-10:15 EST.  Will that work for you?  Let me know.

Can't wait to play ya again, hopefully McNair won't get hurt in this one.

I hope he doesn't either - I just know some big-name is going down due to injury for one of the teams in the league.  I got a feeling!

That works for me!

Thanks for resetting my game with TML man.  I'm really glad you have those powers.

I didn't want an easy win like that, and I must say my official win against TML was anything but easy.

hehe, I hope I'd put up a fight biggrin

Say, that play where you intercepted McNair then fumbled to give me back possession was crazy!  I'm not sure who it was, but I just popped them.  I think that's the first time *ever* I've ever seen a straight fumble.

Fine game, Eco.  If I do make it to the playoffs, I certainly hope I don't draw you first round!   :o

No big problems here, though I do hope no one exploits any D-Line glitches and pounds my QB into the ground time and time again.  Tongue

You mean the play I intercepted Brady (not McNair!), ran it out of the endzone only to be clocked by you to result in another turnover?  That was crazy.  I think I actually yelled out of disbelief.  Scott McGarrahan made the interception and paid greatly.

lol, yeah he did.  Who knew Tom Ashworth could pop somebody like that?  That's the first time I've seen a fumble that didn't involve the QB or a passing play that was really an incomplete.  And it came on such a crazy play!

TML, did you honestly feel I abused running with McNair?  5 rushes, 32 yards?

I'm about to retire from this damn league because I'm now being told I can't rush with him at all, nor can I freaking roll out.  WTF is that.

No, Eco, you didn't abuse it.  Abusing it involves, like you said, 5 out, immediately running.  Honestly, going into the game, I EXPECTED IT since that's the way the Titans play.  Fact is, when I thought it was coming, I would try to negate it manually.  You know, use a linemen or blitz a corner - what teams do in the NFL.  I had no problems with the way you used the qb run.

I appreciate your honesty.  Hopefully, the poll for our league won't outlaw running all together.

About the QB runs: I voted that the D should step up and stop them because I run with McNabb from time to time and I don't want to be pegged as a cheater. Not that I'll win any games but he is one of my best weapons.

Awesome Devil.  Maybe we can win this vote and put an end to this.

I think an honor system for any exploits is the way to go.  If someone has X number of complaints on them, then the admin should step in and do something.

I would agree that going 5 wide, and running right when the ball is snapped is unrealistic, cheap & shouldn't be done.

Anyway, you can read the rest of my thoughts on that board.

I've now gotten to the point where I do not care if you run the QB or not.  Personally I will try to win my games without using AI glitches.  And if you beat me by running for first downs and TDs with your QB so be it.  Obviously most of you guys haven't been involved in the Online League community for ESPN 2K5.  I can tell you that running the QB is considered cheese by the online community in general.  But I am tired of arguing the point.  Lets just play the games.

I still sorta don't get the problem with running your QB. I understand if there if a glitch in the game but if not, I can't see why it would be a problem or some cheese like going on 4th and 20+.

There are some QBs who's running ability are a BIG part of their team's offense (Vick) and some who aren't (Bledsoe).

Really what I'm trying to say is that if Vick gets 100 yards rushing against me, I wouldn't care. If Bledsoe somehow does it, I'd be pissed.

Can a QB like Rotten-Drew even break long runs?

Yes someone could easily run for 10 yards a carry even with Bledsoe.  Watch what the defenders do when a QB runs out of a pass play, they do not react at all.  So it really doesnt matter how fast the QB is.

Most people would disagree with you on that one Eco.

If you totally focus on stopping the qb run and play zone then I guess it could be stopped.  You would have to manually take controll of one of your zone defenders and spy the QB.  Then you are leaving a zone wide open.  In real football you can have lineman play 3 technique and have a linebacker spy on the QB in man coverage.  Unfortunatly the computer controlled lb spy does not work at all in my experience.  And if you are playing man coverage and the QB takes off, you can't yell fire to your defenders, you just have to hope one of the recivers leads him to the QB.
