Very sad to hear that Hark  crybaby I was really really hoping this time around it would be different.

Maps are certainly larger this time around FYI. Not as big as Halo maps mind you  - just bigger than we've been used to in COD titles thus far.

Have there been any side by sides of how this looks on current gen vs. next gen consoles?  I've been so hypnotized by the excitement of the new consoles coming out, I kinda forgot that I'm still allowed to play this with the ones I already own.

Based on what I've seen of the game so far, it's not going to look good on any platform. The engine is really showing its age. The multiplayer PS4 footage I watched looked almost embarrassingly bad, graphically.

What I'm sure is going to get lost in the internet pitchfork mob is that it's a good thing they brought down the resolution to keep the framerate up.  I mean, sure it'd be great if devs figured out the Xbone enough to get things up to 1080p, but I'll take a solid 60fps at 720p over shaky fps at 1080p any day.

This is coming out today right?  I'm debating whether to pick it up or just wait for the xbone version. I was really hoping to finish gtav first. I've been working a brutal schedule but hopefully that will end this week.

It's only 10 extra bucks if you buy it through the marketplace on 360 and then on XB1. Not much all things considered.

Any of those reviews focus primarily on multiplayer?  The first two I clicked on are "blah blah blah single player" and "blah blah blah new multiplayer modes."  I really just want to hear how the new maps are, how well the perks/killstreaks are balanced, how good the weapons feel, whether or not dedicated servers improve things, etc.

It would be impossible for an advance review to know how well the dedicated servers improve things. That will bear out in the coming days.

Honestly, I only saw framerate issues during the single player campaign and those were far and few between.

If they provide one, sure. All I've been exposed to is console versions. We're supposed to get a Wii U version too but I have yet to see the game on that system.

For what it's worth, Dan Ryckert said the opposite of this in Game Informer's Test Chamber, stating that the PS4 version does not suffer the occasional frame rate hitches he saw in the current-gen version of Ghosts.  He also speaks very highly of the PS4 controller.

looks like Green Man Gaming is having major issues with keys for the game.  They ran out, and now that they are sending out more people are being told their key is not valid.

People claim that the Xbone also suffers framerate stutters but to be honest I can't tell, at least not on Youtube.
My first impressions are: what a horrible looking game. And by horrible looking I mean something that would not look out of place on the current gen.  Is this the best that our next gen consoles can do? The COD developers ought to be ashamed of themselves.
*edit* Also to be clear, I'm referring to the COD game in general, not the Xbone version of it. I'm sure the PS4 version looks just as plain.

I played for about 3-4 hrs last night(Multiplayer only)on 360

and surprisingly,i am enjoying it...of course its the maps that make it and each map are quite enjoyable(and all a decent size) and first few hours impressions are that this is the best COD for a few years

Tune in this weekend when i slag the game off and announce that i am never buying another COD game again icon_twisted
