They didn't reneg at all, the founder bonus is for signing up during the first month.  Always has been.  (actually it was originally the first week and they extended it)

you not paying attention to how it works doesn't mean they are at fault.

i got my Prestige token and 2 hrs of double XP(which i have used up now),but i also got an XBL message saying my Elite status has been extended for a month,is that because of the troubles they were having?

Because if so,i actually waited and signed up the day before the last day for getting founder status,so really i didn't not miss out on anything

Actually if you bought hardened editions your founders status is good forever, regardless of when you register. If you got a lesser edition you only had the first month to sign up.

I don't know why it cut the beginning off.  I thought someone was in the bunker and I went prone to avoid a bouncing bettie.  While down there I could see nothing but knew the direction of the bunker and thought why not.  I did not know it could go that far, nor had I noticed the slope goes right up to the opening.  As I ran off after throwing and got around the next corner I got the hit indication and points and had a big wtf moment.  Both of those vids were the same match btw, those FMG-9's are stupid good.

Ran into a 'new' cheat today. Entire other team was using modded controllers, but get this... they were using them with all their guns.  ACR, UMP, as well as the obvious choice, the M14.  They had the fire rate spaced out to fire exactly when the gun returned to center so they were 100% accurate for every shot at full auto.  It was very irritating.  It also made the guns sound very distinctive and odd.

I think that I notice a new map exploit the other night on Dome. I was constantly getting sniped at the same map location - I never bothered to look at the kill cam (I am so used to simply spamming X to get back into the fray)
The player was lying prone on the 3-4 steps that lead up to that 'concrete platform' when you exit the main building where the shipping containers are just outside on the right as you exit. Not the humvee side.
I came up behind him and noticed that he was lying prone with his gun 'clipping' into the concrete pointing down the are towards the destroyed bunker exit and humvees. To me it appeared that he was using a new map exploit to see 'through' the map while staying out of sight when facing him head on.

Then again - he might have just been really really good

Had an amazing round just now in TDM.  Got my first EMP when the score was 2800-2800 and was very excited.  Got a second EMP and knew it was going to be an awesome game.  Then the game ended I saw that I lost.  WTF! I was quite disappointed.  I went 46-14 and we lost by 1 kill.

The makers of the first-person shooter juggernaut are promising a season of new content, starting with the Xbox 360-first release on January 24 of the first two drops, a pair of multiplayer maps and stretching. The season will continue with at least a drop a month through September.

The Link has a detailed look at the multiplayer maps with pictures as well(Liberation and Piazza)...apparently the Piazza map is a uphill struggle,which i hate,but the pics make it look quite good,it seems the other team always have the 'upper' hand and Liberation is a wide open Central Park map which sounds much better(IMO)

'Stretching' will be exercises that will show gamers that sit on their butts too long and play too much CoD how to get up and move around with the controller so they can live that much longer and invest more money into the Elite service.

So...  I boughten the elite premium membership today in anticipation of new maps (new maps!).  Do I need to separately download the maps, or will they just sort of show up?  If I need to download them (which I suspect), where can they be found?

Hey Ike, launch the game and go into the mulitplayer menu.  From there you can download the map packs

yeah they are in the Store Section in the menu as Kato says,i will get to them later on

glad to see there is also an option just to play those maps,like usual DLC,i was afraid with it only being 2 maps they weren't gonna put that option and every bleeder was going to skip the maps as usual when they are in the rotation

well that was dumb,i started the game up and waited for awhile for anything to appear,when it did i selected the maps to be downloaded but they would stay on 'pending'..i tried to select them and then confirm download,but they just stayed on pending,so i had to quit the game and go back to dash and then the downloads started



Anyway,I quite like the two maps,probably pizza Pizzia whatever its called better than Liberation,Liberation seems snipers only,..but I am not a sniper,thankfully it has an underground section,where i can loiter  ....but as these maps prove,i am still shit at this game

I had this experience too. I've had it with at least one other game as well, for some reason I can't download while in the game. No biggie. I did play a couple of rounds on Liberation, everyone complaining about how it's just a sniper's map. In my experience once folks become familiar with the map they'll soon learn the safe paths and the favorite places where snipers hide. It's still not as bad as the golf course map in Black Ops, which was really a sniper's map.

You can't download while in any active multiplayer LIVE application.  You could back out to single player and the downloads would go, but if you are on the multiplayer menu it suspends all downloads to open up bandwidth for multiplayer.  It's like this in pretty much every game/app on xbox.

I just sold my copy of mw3 to amazon for $32.  I think I've played the game once since Xmas.  Had a blast, never did prestige (got close) and almost completed the SCAR challenges, but I'm having too much fun playing other games now.  BF3 is great on the PC.

In additional to the maps, 402 also said they nerfed the Striker, buffed all other shotguns, improved speed of uploading to YouTube and improved the lag compensation. Initial reactions to the lag comp bit have unsurpisingly been negative.

they did the initial nerf to them which did nothing really, haven't touched them since.  They increased recoil on the FMG's and hip spread on the T-95.  Neither of which really fixes what was the real problem which was ttk

When are the new maps supposed to be made available to the general public?  I didn't realize that they are first exclusive to Elite membership holders, assuming I could just pay space bucks for the maps, but they weren't available to be just yet.
