Fwiw i get plenty of kills from claymores and betties. Occasionally it is just an assist, but usually a kill
Hmm, maybe I'm setting them too close to the door or right angle of the stairway? I guess I could experiment some more. Is there a sweet spot for placement? That might be the case. You want to maximize the chance that the target is still fully within the blast area when it detonates. Seems to be a pretty deep AOE. Ken, I was just referring to the fact that someone didn't have it, not you in particular whether you did or did not. It's a sore spot for me to get killed by a predator even when I'm invisible just because someone on my team that has a glowing red box around them is running to me

the FAD is the AR most SMG like, does that help? None of the SMG's are very AR like in this game. They all drop to very low damage at long range. The ump probably feels the most like an AR but even it is down to 17 damage at anything outside medium range

Found another great little feature of the Support Killstreak. I don't have to specify three rewards, so I can get back to the first reward faster. Right now I specify UAV at 4 and counter-UAV at five, so I get rewards at kills 4, 5, 9, 10, etc. Cool

Pretty sure that works with assault too. I think I was running just care package and hardline for awhile for nonstop crates.

Yes but with the Support Killstreak if you die it doesn't reset, you keep your count. That's why I like it, since it's the only way I'm going to get into double digits.

Logged in for my first round of MP last night... I was getting slaughtered by level 60s... WTH? Level 60 already? Insanity.
I think Hark is close to level 80 now Close? He prestiged about 2am EST this morning. Hark is the bringer of the god-like portable radar. There someone who has prestiged 4 times already I wish they would do a better job with the matchmaking - they really should wall off the crazy I-have-no-life types (no offense Hark ) from the more casual players. Just sucks all the fun out of it when you're getting consistently pwned, especially this early in the game's life cycle.

BUT IT'S YOUR GAME OF THE YEAR! Looks like your sarcasm detector is broken too. Glad to see the tactical knife back Personally, after about 3 hours of play time (which is too soon to tell) this game feels like a step backwards from BLOPS. It's basically MW2 all over again with many of the same issues the last modern warfare had. The interface is the same clunky interface as MW2 with a few revisions (but all the ones BLOPS added seem to be gone). I do like that you can finally customize the killstreaks per class. That's a nice touch. Also, the weapons sound like crap. Damn you BF3.

I searched his channel and didn't see any hits on Hardhat. Anyway, I don't have his mad skillz so I have to rely on being sneaky. It's been working for me, my K:D is 1.29, which is, for me, amazing on non-Hardcore TDM. It would be higher if I could snap shoot as well as he does. UPDATE: I do love my XM-25 though . And I've finally figured out a better distance to set up the Claymore so they are working better for me now.

I wonder how many fewer copies they would sell if they didn't provide a campaign at all. One of my favorite alltime PC games was Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising which except for a few tutorials was only online MP.

Level 31 on a weapon gets you the gold camo fwiw.
Well that's something. I'm at 30 and half way to 31, might as well get there. Anything past 31? Except, maybe, glory? Nothing after 31. It just shows as 1xp/1xp and the bar stays full. By then you have your callsign/emblem rewards and the only reason to even go to 31 is the gold camo.

Hark, thanks for posting this link. I was finally able to register at the Elite website using this URL, the one I had before kept giving me a dead end. I'm now at level 70 but I'm going to be gone for a few days so everyone will be catching up It's bizarre. After playing Hardcore TDM in BLOPS, and now playing non-HC TDM in MW3, I'm just so stunned by how many players just run all the time. I stay crouched most of the time and by using Stalker I can aim down the sights while I move. This makes up for my horrible reaction time. I do run from time to time, but not much. I'm also running Blindeye/Assassin while helps keep me hidden. Most enemies I've seen in matches aren't using Assassin since they show up on the UAVs I throw up with every four/fifth kill. I've even tried using a silencer but in non-Hardcore it's too hard getting a kill at any distance.

Second member! First time I've even been able to log on to Elite in days. I was trying out the survival mode last night, which is fun enough, but I get stuck at wave 6 when the choppers show up and I don't have any anti-air. How do you get past that? Edit: Actually, other than the page Hark linked to, I still can't connect to Elite. I can't imagine that they have the balls to actually charge money for this.

There's a video you can access through Live that demonstrates the Survival game mode, and in that video I believe I saw the player access a laptop terminal to call in air support or some kind of anti-air weapon. Unfortunately as I haven't tried the mode yet I'm unsure if this is of any help. Perhaps you can access a weapon such as a strella or javelin for shooting down enemy aircraft?

I love the maps in this game, Really? I really miss having a mix of map sizes and map openness. Compare the MW3 maps to the MW2 map list. Pretty much every MW3 map feels either like Scrapyard or Invasion.

Pretty much every MW3 map feels either like Scrapyard or Invasion. yeah, they are lacking anything with the range of Afgan, Estate, Quarry, Wasteland, pretty much any of the maps that weren't tiny in MW2 had longer sight lines and more room. It makes me a little sad because while I am not very good at sniping, I do my best fighting at medium-long range and there just aren't any maps that have that here. Brakaara(sp?) is probably the closest, and even it has a forced claustrophobic feeling due to the design. Some of the maps are big enough, but they are so cluttered that it kills the sense of size. In addition there really aren't any spots to truly hide (like when you want to go hide and call something in without dying). Damn near everywhere you could possibly put your body is along a path that someone will use.

I think what bugs me about the maps is that they all seem kind of the same. It seems like you are always running around a bunch of buildings. I know there are some different areas, like the shopping mall, train station and construction yard, but they all still feel like you are running around in some buildings.

That's my biggest issue, too. I think they said they wanted to eliminate "power positions" in the map, and that might be equating to "eliminate pug's favorite hidey spots." In previous titles, there were multiple spots in the map where I could trust that if I had enough friendly blips one one side I could put all of my attention on the other, but with the maps always having multiple back doors and the spawn system putting everyone "closer to the action" this time, it leaves me feeling eternally vulnerable.
