I get annoyed by extreme campers, but the guy making the video is an idiot. He seems to think anyone not running around at full speed ignoring sight lines is a camper and he is a moron.

I predict less than 60 days go by before there's a patch to nerf it. It looks like an almost instant kill. Everything else in that vid is sick, though! The sound seems amazing.

According to a bunch of Treyarch tweets, you can no longer quick-scope with sniper rifles in BO. If that is true, my playtime is going to be much more enjoyable.
EDIT: If you watch the first few minutes of this video you can see a guy trying. Whatever they did seemed to help a bit, but while he misses most of the attempts, he still hits a few.
EDIT2: guess the put the smackdown on the video.

When the scope comes up it takes 1 second before the shot is centered on the crosshair, from what I've read.

The sound seems amazing. think of it like the under-mounted shotgun attachment = If you get close enough that is also an instant kill. IMHO there is no difference between the flamethrower and shotty as stated above. The video clearly shows a enemy running through the flame. I think/hope it will be just fine. Roman

Roman it just seems like an odd idea, like the guys at Treyarch were drunk one night and were trying to come up with new attachments.

That what they said, but if you watch the video he manages to still do it a few times. Although, this video could also be from before they adjusted it.

Knocking the maximum level down to 50 might be the best thing I've read about this game. Prestige was one of the main reasons why I kept playing MW1 and W@W as long as I did. The thrill of constantly unlocking new things made me want to keep playing. I probably would have stuck with MW2 longer if I felt like I was close to getting the Prestige mode, but I didn't feel like grinding away until I got to Level 70.

the flame thrower attachment and the dragonbreath shotgun rounds are natural extensions since they spent so much energy putting flamethrowers in W@W and this is a reworked version of that engine. They probably just didn't want to waste the flame effects.
I saw a video of someone getting many easy quick scope shots in black ops, hopefully it was an early beta vid, but it definitely had me concerned.

Most of that didn't bother me until after halfway in where you got 2 blatant examples of quickscoping. The beginning looked like he was camped where the other team just paraded down his sight line. Hopefully they captured the 2 successful quickscopes out of 100. Who knows???

quick-scope = But if I were to keep it in perspective - when I think back to the amount of times I have died in COD4 and 6 I can safely say that less than 1/3 are due to snipers. So with that being said I am not super bothered by this. If they get lucky enough - so be it. It is after-all just a game.Roman

I played some MW2 today to see if I have any interest at all in getting back into COD.
My first round of TDM, after more than 4 months off, I went 24 - 6, became bored and remembered why I retired.
I'm sitting this one out for sure.

This was posted by Treyarch about the PS3 version, but I assume it is the same for 360. Good stuff: In-Game Friends List
We’ve integrated a built-in Friends List into the in game user interface. You’ll be able to browse Recent Players, Friends, navigate their File Shares, Recent Games, Combat Records – all within this in-game menu system designed to streamline the social process within the game. Sending game invites and joining Friends’ games has never been simpler than in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Regional Matchmaking & Party Privacy
Call of Duty: Black Ops will support regional matchmaking filters on a global scale. So, no matter where you’re at in the world, you will have the ability to specify whether you want to match with players from other geographical regions, or only those local to you. This will make communication and lag a much less intrusive variable on your gameplay experience.
Additionally, given Black Ops will support joining games in progress via an even simpler built-in in-game Friends List interface, we’ll allow a Party leader to lock down his lobby to Invite Only, Friends Only, or even Close it altogether if he wants to be in complete control over who enters and exits the Party Lobby.

Commando, one man army, noob tube all removed along with stacking killstreaks... I'm hoping Black Ops learned a lot of lessons from MW2 and this is going to be a really balanced gaming experience.

No noob tube?! I love the idea of that but it seems to be a failure in implementation. There should be grenade launchers but with only one non replenishible round.
Still, glad the days noob tube spam are coming to a close.

Personally, I think the loadouts should be modelled on real world applications. The idea that a solder with an M203 mounted under his M16 is only going to be carrying one round is patently absurd. I don't know what the standard loadout consists of, but I'm sure it's higher than that. It's not a Panzerfaust.
Make reload times based on rank. The higher level you are, the faster you can reload.

The M203 is still in game, but the Scavenger perk does not restock the ammo for it. There is also the "China Lake", a 2 round pump action grenade laucher (very slow chamber speeds).

Actually there is a bit of a firestorm right now. . . The Xbox version supports two live accounts signed in for the split online multiplayer whereas the ps3 can only accommodate a guest login . . . Even though support for that functionality was posted on the ps blog by jd_2020 then removed from the blog. I don't really care. It's cool if you have a friend over to mess around, but if I'm playing competitively I don't want to split my bandwidth up anyway.
