A-Bomb was insane, and a great example on how no one mission was the same.  one time a perp was hiding behind one of the outside vehicles and blindsided me about 3 steps into the mission.  I outfitted 2 of my guys with nothing but door wedges for that mission since there are so many freaking doors.

Except that SWAT (and Ghost Recon) also didn't spawn the enemies until you were near them (for say Terrorist Hunt), which made the levels feel completely fake.

The best part is that the systematic gunning down of people from an eye in the sky view is often how I get the kill streak in the first place slywink
it's definitely something I'm already fairly proven at so I look forward to getting an 11 kill streak that then at least turns into another 11 kill streak.  mwahahaha!

Wow, what is up with those bonuses? +2300? You get points for stopping someone's killstreak, too. I wonder what some of the other killstreaks are - that's a big grid of things to unlock.

Watching that AC-130 spray the (surprisingly small) map, I'm wondering how they are going to handle Hardcore mode. Certainly if it's like current Hardcore, any friendly will be in "danger close" range anywhere on the map.

Ok. This game looks ridiculous. Look at all the stuff that goes flying when he kills that first guy. papers, shrapnel. Zow. The scenery actually looks alive and vibrant and reacts to what is happening. I wonder if it will follow in BF's footsteps and have destructable terrain in MP.

Also, as per Teggy I wonder if this game is going to have like 95 prestige levels with the point values they're throwing around....that or it's gonna take like 500,000 pts to rank up...  icon_eek

Watched it again. When he launches that anti-air missle, you can see the AC130 shooting off flares.  YOWZA.

Practical question: How will this game NOT crash XBL upon release? What can they (MS, IW, EA) do to prevent it from happening?

Duh.  Infinity Ward gets MS to shut off the servers for the first week to force everyone to actually play the single player portion before going into MP and never coming out again.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. I'm planning on getting this on release day, but I doubt I'll be able to play a stable game online that day.

I'm really interested in how the AC-130 mechanic will work.  The video seemed to imply that whatever the player shot at with his gun would also cause AC-130 fire to be sprayed in the same location.  However, later in the video it did show a birds eye targeting view from the gunship similar to the first game.

Customizable killstreak probably implies a number of killstreak options - wonder what else they have in store smile

My first impression was that it would shoot at the same place the player was with their gun also, until I saw the overhead video with the b/w targetting.

COD5 was all hardcore, COD4 we just played normal.

this is correct.  The time to kill is what matters to me and CoD4 hardcore is a bit excessively deadly for me.  CoD5 normal was way too long to kill anyone.  CoD4 normal and CoD5 hardcore were pretty close in regards to total time-to-kill due to the difference in weapon power and rate of fire.  With CoD6 being modern weapons again and from the look of the video normal mode ttk should remain just fine.

We played some hardcore anyway in CoD4 just to play without the radar and such, but it still was almost always normal mode for us as a group.

Going back from CoD5 to CoD4 it always amazes me that they remove the player voices in hardcore which never made sense to me and definitely affects the feel of the game as well.

you have the same health, and weapons do the same damage per bullet, but the rate of fire and increased accuracy while moving of the weapons made it much more deadly.  you can literally just close your eyes and spin while firing and get a kill when you come around a corner in hardcore slywink

why the ninja?  i agree that hardcore is far less skilled in CoD4, just disagree in CoD5.  My only real complaints on normal mode are grenade spam and insta-respawn which also promotes grenade spam as well as the lack of friendly fire.

Hardcore could have actually been 'hardcore' if they had done something other than just lower health and nuke the hud.  As it is in CoD4 only 2 non-pistol weapons require a second shot to kill in hardcore mode which means you are losing out if you pick anything other than whichever has the highest rof.

I think # of maps or packs is the least of their concerns. They should take a page out of treyarchs book for how to do well designed and fun maps. And then release even better maps. And then do it again.  And then....do it a 3rd time.

maybe they can make a trade:  level design for the knowledge on how to do a proper respawn system.
