I tried Hardcore today and I'm loving it . I've gone 26-9 in one match and even got three kills at one time with a Hunter-Killer. And mostly all the people with mics aren't total douches.

I've got a SCAR and I've equipped with two Bouncing Bettys... always fun.

Had a blast last night, up until server issues got so bad that I'd be booted from a room, then be unable to rejoin, get booted again, then be unable to rejoin, lather, rinse, repeat.  It got so frustrating that I loaded up Halo 4 just to see if I could get into a MP game and had no issue.  Blops, why must you frustrate me so?

This is the reason why hard point is broken as a game type. Needs to be random.

Hark's hard point post rubbing you the wrong way, Teggy? It's a lot to swallow, but it seems pretty solid.

Hardpoint isn't broken, and it not being random doesn't really break it once you know that it's not random.

It does make it near impossible for a group of casual players to beat people who know the order, but that's neither here nor there.

Once you know the pattern, it becomes a tactical sub-game of when to devote team resources to holding/contesting current point and when to move to the next point.  This is especially fun/important in the multi-team version.

I would prefer random, but not being random only breaks it for people too lazy to learn the order.

Haven't had any time to play other than a brief stint over the Thanksgiving weekend, but after today's exam I will definitely be taking a shooteyface reprieve from studying to return some semblance of sanity.  Only two weeks left.

Decided to take a break from the masses last night and played a number of private, custom rounds with papasmurff, a few of his friends, and a bunch of pharmacy peeps, and it was an absolute riot.  We mixed up the game modes, altered whether we were playing multiple teams, two teams, or a complete mosh pit, varried the weapons, etc.  We definitely have to do that again.  And since we don't need to be in a private party we can open up communication to the general lobby, allowing way more than just 8 people to participate.

I realize I haven't picked this game up since the first week. I wasn't really liking the running SMG mode that seems so prevalent in this version. I was able to step back and start playing a smarter, slower way that worked better for me, but overall I wasn't loving the pace and the maps. I wonder if I will wind up prestiging this one at all.

The series definitely peaked with BLOPS 1 for me. I still need to go back to single player, though.

I like that the party games now give XP as well.  My last two nights have been pretty much solo playing Gun Game with a few dips into others that I'm not as good at.  Not that I'm that good at any of them.  But I did manage to come in second a couple times last night.  In those cases though, the game ended shortly after I got the ballistic knife before I could win.

Three or four times, at least.  I'm amazed that group of noobs stuck around as long as they did.

Highlights (or lowlights) include our first match against the noobs with us calling in ONE scorestreak as a team.  Multiple double kills with bouncing betties.  A double kill with a hacked care package.  And Hark's girlfriend repeatedly saying, "I died less this time!".

Wow.  I'm not sure what I just watched after beating the campaign, but it seems like Call of Duty has jumped the shark.

Wish I could play the single player campaign (on PC) I beat the 2nd level only for it to crash to desktop during the loading scenes EVERY TIME.  They say it's a Nvidia problem, except I have ATI.
