Probably waiting on the RC candidate to be announced it's as bug free as possible. Recall the other day it dipped that low then shot back up to 257. slywink

Yes, but they never had a "wait for an announcement" last week. My suspicion is that these were work items on the final RC-and its now done and gold. Cant wait!!

Since as early as January, Brothers in Arms has been going into the release candidate phase for the various platforms (Xbox, PS2, PC). The game is essentially finished, but the team has been working on the release engineering and details required for a solid, major launch of a AAA game like Brothers in Arms.

Many of you have been visiting our website often over the past several weeks noting the changing work items counter and talking with Gearbox developers on the Gearbox forums. Thank you for your attention. Myself and other Gearbox developers are likely to spend more time on the forums as our launch tasks wrap up, so stop by and say hi.

I would expect a wide press release soon that confirms the release to manufacturing of the gold master for each platform and the final shelf date of the game.

In the mean time, please look around the new Gearbox Software website.

And, thanks for your interest in Brothers in Arms – the wait is almost over.

Not to be a dick, but what's so exciting about this?  Another WW2 FPS?  Don't we have enough of those?

OK...I'll bite.  It sounds very much like Full Spectrum Warrior/Rainbow Six crossed with Call of Duty.  You control the team, but you also control yourself.  One other small thing...it's a WW2 game that is based on real people and their story, kind of like Band of Brothers.

There's still a large group out there that likes WW2 games.  This is a lot like saying, "Not to be a dick, but what's so exciting about this?  Another futuristic FPS?  Don't we have enough of those?" (not that I mind them or anything) slywink

Eh, because the game looks awesome, hopefully will play as well or better than COD, and combine the awesome tactical combat of FSW.

FSW was a puzzle game.  I've seen better tactical combat in Unreal Tournament 2004.

Eh, this doesn't sound like a game I'd be interested in... thanks for the clarification.

No need to defend this game. I probably will never get tired of WW II games. And because of people like me they will continue to make them haha. Just hope it lives up to the hype.  biggrin
