http://www.gamingtrend.com/2013/08/30/fall-2013-game-preview-part-one/

We took a look at all of the titles coming and we had to split the list up it was so huge.   Today we have part 1 leading up to the end of October.  Brace yourself and prepare your wallet for some serious pain.

On a side note, we are using a new slide deck program - let us know what you think!

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs should be on that list since it comes out in a couple weeks. Even if you don't like horror, watching the "Lets plays" on YouTube should be wonderful.  icon_biggrin

The new slide deck is an improvement. The old one used to freeze on Chrome.

Holy moly, my wallet's gonna be hurting even if I don't buy a new console.

You might want to think about making this article more prominent on the first page.  I know I'm looking for lists like this this time of year.

As for the new slideshow software, I like it.  I can't recall exactly what the last kind was like, but I'm pretty sure I like this better.

love the slide deck bit.

GTA 5 - going in day 1, PC version be damned
Batman AO - going PC on this one.
AC4 - will be passing on this current gen if I go through with PS4.  may get PC if it's a good port
BF4 - undecided on this as I haven't been into MP like I used to be.
Starlight Inception - looks interesting, may pick up when it hits Steam

so far, not so bad.  bring on pt 2!

Loved the layout on that piece, but I expect that the XB1 and PS4 will be in part two of the feature?

We are working on our review for that and Outlast right now.  Scary season!

Yeah almost nothing on that list even makes me bat an eye.

For me:

  • Total War VIII: Rome: Total War II - tempted, can wait for sale
  • Kingdom Hearts HD Remix - never got very far giving the original a try, so this one's likely at some point when I get a PS3
  • GTA V - definitely getting soon, but I may wait for a sale since I'll have zero free time to play it in the next few months
  • Beyond: Two Souls - watching
  • Pokemon X/Y - I must play this, but I'm not too keen on re-buying a 3DS just yet.  Maybe I'll ask Santa for a new 3DS
  • Batman - I must have this asap, but see GTA V situation, above
  • Battlefield IV - see Batman
  • Starlight Inception - now on my radar thanks to this article.  I love space flying stuff so much that this may even supersede GTA/Batman/Battlefield/CoD on my purchasing order if it doesn't suck

GTA V - Yeah, can't wait.
Batman: Arkham Origins - Can wait even less.. shame they wasted all that time on MP or maybe I'd have it already!
Assassin's Creed IV - This one I am not in a huge rush for, but I will buy and play it.
Elder Scrolls Online - I'm about 150 hours into Skyrim. I need more!

this must have slipped under the radar: Elder Scrolls Online got announced as a 2014 release for all platforms way back at E3.

Yeah I can't say there is a single title in that list that has me wanting to open my wallet.  Guess I will just be playing more of my backlog.

I was told PC is this year, XBONE and PS4 are next year.   Has that changed?

Only thing I like is AC4, but I don't buy games on release.
Love the the slide deck, very easy to navigate through.

yep.  from their PR on their blog:

Quote
Latest Game in Award-Winning Franchise Arriving on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac in Spring 2014

June 10, 2013 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks® today announced that The Elder Scrolls® Online is in development for both the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The game will launch on these consoles, in addition to the previously announced PC and Mac versions, in Spring 2014.

plus Paul Sage talks about the delay in this interview in the first question.

Nothing for me.

GTA 5.  maybe later..
Ac4. Not now. Revelations and III burned me.
Batman... After AC not willing to pay full price... Unless I hear it's more like AA.

I think the next new game I'll pick up is Thief depending on PC system requirements.

I think my tastes are drifting away from the norm somewhat, as I think this fall release slate is pitiful. I also can find zero launch games of interest for the new consoles.

Good preview, KD.  There were some games I had forgotten to include on my list, but I can't add more.  I can't!   icon_eek

Really like that preview list and the slide form. One nit to pick, AC 4 Black Flag is a WiiU title too.

I know I am getting some of those games at some time.
