How come there have been no new releases of boxing games for PC?  The last decent one I am aware of was 4D Boxing.   :?:

Is anyone aware of something more current or a boxing game on the horizon?  There seem to be regular releases on consoles.

If not boxing, what about a karate type game?

PC only please...

I'm not sure what has happened with this genre...I remember playing Panza Kickboxing back in the day, but since Punch Out came out on the NES its all but died.  There was a K1 game from konami but I'm not sure if it made it to the PC...

I'll do some digging.

It seems as if the consoles have pretty much taken over for all forms of sports games, and fighting games are nearly non-existant on PCs because of the poor, non-standardized control interface and lack of easy two-player implementation.

As a side note, I'd love to see some sort of true martial arts fighting "simulation".  Something like how I think Bushido Blade was meant to be, but more varied in styles and user friendly controls.  (I never owned BB, just played on a friend's PS)

user friendly controls

That plague hits the console market too, but its worse on the PC because not everyone has a controller, much less a decent one.

You wont see this type of game on the pc again..

All these type of games you should buy a console for anyway... (ITS CHEAPER THAN A VIDEO CARD UPGRADE)

EVEN MICROSOFT admits the Pc Market for controllers is dead they no longer make controllers.

Indeed, Hank.  As for what I was saying, I'd just like to see a fairly true-to-form martial arts game on ANY platform.

Wow, I misread that as Panda Kickboxing and I thought, I have to see this.  Walking away thoroughly disappointed.
