Has anyone noticed that since the patch (on the 360 at least) shields that increase or decrease your health no longer show you the amount that health is increased or decreased? I wonder if this is a bug or an intended change.

What a great gig EA has being able to make a few tweaks and changes here and there, and release a game each year that makes a ton of money. 

I'm very happy to see that Borderlands 2 is doing well.  They deserve it.

Borderlands has become un-playable for me. It was running very stable and smooth. Now I'm crashing(hard lock, have to re-set the PC) every single time I play. Sometimes if I keep at it, I can get a half hour of play after 4 or 5 crashes. Nothing has changed on my end, just wondering if anyone else has noticed something similar?

I have a GTX-580 latest drivers, and I used older ones. I crash every session. There was mention of a utility to make sure your processesors weren't "parked" when they should be used. I made sure all my cores where 'firing" when they should, no joy there.

But enough of the player base is complaining of this same problem I'm sure they're looking into it.

hmmm I played up to level 5 or 6 with the new character and had no issues, I have a GTX-670 running drivers dated 4/27/12.  If I can break away from my X-Com ironman game I'll try to give BL2 more time and see if I get lockups.

DLC downloaded.  No time to play right now, but I jumped in with my siren and travelled to Oasis to start up the first quest.  It's labelled as level 50, but I'm not sure if that's fixed or related to the level of my character somehow.  Later on I'll check it out with someone lower level on the first playthrough (or someone else can report in on it).

I dunno,everything is trivial for me and all enemies have been lvl 29-31...I'm level 50 so its massively easy,however there are plenty of quests(been playing for 4 hrs)

yeah sorry when i said i hadn't done much in TVHM,i meant it was not my main playthrough so i selected normal mode,because in that mode i have done everything and so i started the DLC in normal mode

I only touched TVHM to get my character to 50,nothing else.....and then i switched back to kill Terramorphous in normal mode which was the last thing i needed to do

Engine-True Vaulter Hunter Mode is just a fancy way of saying New Game+

Doesn't really matter.   I started TVHM with Zero and went back to normal for the DLC

The two raid bosses were pretty much bastards

Hyperious took me and a gang of people i didn't know about half a dozen tries before we got him

There is a problem with some Xbox's that when you kill Master Gee the invincible the xbox freezes,it did it to me on my first try but it was okay second time around

Ah, bummer. They switched from the codes being good for three hours to only having a limited number of ones. I got the one this morning even though it was four hours after it had been posted, but when I tried to enter the second one only after an hour after it had been posted SHIFT said that the code had already been redeemed. Will have to be more on my toes.

I am saving them for perhaps when me and myto go through the game again,everytime i open the loot box the gear is massively crap..although with my current set up i can't see anything i find being better at the moment

now,the unending infinity pistol kicks the shit out of nearly everything

B)it also uses no ammo
c)its fire rate is ...well,push down on the right trigger and it fires like a machine gun....non stop..forever,and as said,has massive damage

that takes us to the Scalable Conference Call Shotgun,this enables me to kill Terramorphous the invincible in about 10-20 seconds...it kicks the fuck out of anything that comes your way(the two raid bosses of the DLC the exception),Terramorphous is fun to kill every now and then because he gave me such a bitch of a time when i first encountered him,and he drops the mod Slayer of Terramorphous

the shield The Bee is the shield everyone goes on about Gearbox have said they may gimp The Bee shield in a future patch,it's a rare drop that the DJ drops in a side quest in Arid Nexus Boneyard

I like to save them until most of my weapons are a few levels out of date. That way, I have the best chance of getting a nice upgrade.

Finished my first playthrough yesterday. Maybe Oscuros and I will farm the last boss a few times, but my gear is pretty good right now.

I've read that Conference Call is the drop everyone wants, but what about it makes it so powerful? From the stats you posted it doesn't seem like anything special. I mean, it's nice, but 25K damage per shot doesn't seem like it should kill a massive boss in seconds.

That's where the Bee shield comes in. It is a huge amp shield with no drawback. So every pellet does ridiculous damage.

It's quite funny actually


when you fire the gun,it shoots normally but also you get shots zipping horizontally from left to right as well onto your target,it also doesn't shoot like a normal Shotgun,faster rate of fire

and when paired with the Bee Shield it amps every shot

Special Weapon Effects
Let's just ping everyone all at once – Aside from the normal shotgun shots it fires, there are also extra shots travelling horizontally perpendicular to the shots at a distance from the player, usually near the target. These extra shots have the same pattern as the original shot.

The Conference Call is one of few guns that are noted for being wildly overpowered when paired with The Bee. This is due to the sheer number of projectiles produced by the Conference Call itself.

There are different types of The Bee,i have The Inflammable one

The Bee, while having low shield capacity, gives extraordinary amp damage with zero shield drain per shot. Thus effectively providing endless amp damage until the user takes damage from an outside source. Because The Bee applies the amp damage bonus to every shot, it can be best exploited in conjunction with high rate of fire weapons or weapons that fire multiple projectiles.

Does amp damage work for every shot when the shield is fully charged? I've been confused by what they mean by "next" shot.

Oh, wait, I guess that's why most of those shields aren't that great - as soon as you take a shot your shield is depleted.

Ah, my son has a conference call that dropped off the final boss. It lets him rip through that fight very fast now. I'll have to tell him about the bee shield.

and yeah in that Bee link it says

Randy Pitchford's Twitter indicates that there is an incoming nerf for The Bee in the next patch.

However this damn patch has been talked about since the 20th September,and they have been saying lots of things are getting fixed....PS3 had a patch but the 360 has yet to receive one

and i suppose if people really don't like the nerf of The Bee,they can just clear their cache and play offline so they don;t receive the patch
