I'm in Japan. And yes, Japan has committed many crimes of snack flavor depravity but even here we have standards. No salad ice cream. Would anyone go for a cucumber pepsi?

Marketing genius!  People feel invested in the game without any real influence on the game!  People are excited and talking about it they are arguing, debating and burning up the Internet about it.  Marketing genius

3 is pretty much what they are using for the regular art:

#3

Regular box art

they should use 3 as the regular art.

sorry the original link that lex put up was likely getting hammered because it wasn't loading for me at the time,so i was looking on 360a.org which had numbered them in a different order

it was the red one i meant, number 4(and all your answers seem to make a little more sense now..i thought you were all bonkers,LOL)

I don't get why number 5 he has a completely different haircut,in that picture(not the ones above)he reminds me of a version of Van Helsing

season pass announced

1600 points for three add-ons i suppose is not bad though

Quote
Priced £15.99 on PC and PlayStation 3 and 1600 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, the Season Pass will include access to three upcoming DLC packs.

The three add-ons will cost £7.99/800 Microsoft Points each, so Season Pass owners get a 30 per cent saving, 2K said

Quote
Buying the Season Pass will also get you access to the Early Bird Special Pack - a collection of extra in-game gubbins such as gun upgrades, gold skins, plus health and shield upgrades.

It's getting to the point where this kind of pushing is turning me off even games I'm looking forward to. I'm not pre-ordering B:I even though I'm planning on getting it close to first day just because I want to cast my vote, so to speak, to tell them to just put all the bonuses into the damn game when I buy it. And no more Season Passes for me either.

As long as they put a full game in I don't have a problem with the DLC. Borderlands 2 was absolutely a full, complete game when released, and then they added episodes on top that are fun, but don't change the core story or ending.  Season pass just gets you a discount.

What is different is that they are coming out with these expansions very quickly, unlike a year later like a lot of games used to. When they have day 1 DLC is when it does seem a bit disingenuous.

GT front page story on the season pass

Quote
The BioShock Infinite Season Pass will be available on March 26, 2013 when the game is planned to launch, and provide nearly $30.00 of add-on content for $19.99 (PlayStation®Network, Windows® PC) or 1,600 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network) – a savings of more than 30%. The Season Pass will include all three add-on packs, and can be pre-ordered today through www.preordernow.com or at a participating retailer.

Those who purchase the BioShock Infinite Season Pass will also receive the Early Bird Special Pack at no extra cost. This bonus pack contains four pieces of exclusive gear, a Machine Gun Damage Upgrade, a Pistol Damage Upgrade, a gold skin for both weapons and five Infusion bottles that allow players to increase their health, their shield durability or their ability to use Vigors by increasing the quantity of Salts they can carry.

In addition, those who pre-order BioShock Infinite will receive the Industrial Revolution Pack for free. This pack grants exclusive access to three in-game gear items that boost combat abilities, $500 bonus to in-game currency, five lock picks and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game, which unlocks stories of Columbia and allows players to pledge their allegiance to the Vox Populi or Founders through Facebook.

For season pass games, I'm much more inclined to go with a PC purchase, as I find it more likely to get a deep discount on future sales through Steam than any of the console stores.

They're just being cheeky with influences.

While Bioshock basically copied the plot of its progenitor game, System Shock 2, I don't think they could get away with that a third time.
